Avec les chaleurs estivales cet appartement sans climatisation n'est pas conseillé pour des personnes fragiles. Déco vieillotte, équipement rudimentaire. Pourquoi indiquer la présence d un lave linge, alors qu'il n existe pas ? Ceci dit le principal atout est la destination. Région extraordinaire.

Perfect location as a base to travel around Liguria and Tuscany
Yes the apartment is up approx 200 steps but 5 Terre is probably not for you if you're not relatively fit - this apartment is basic but not too expensive either and was perfect for a single female to explore this region of Italy. I felt perfectly safe here and slept well. the apartment is above the train station and close to the lovely beach , shops and restaurants. Without luggage the steps are easy to climb - especially after visiting Corniglia

Typically simple coastal/Ligurian apartment, good location, friendly & fast response from owner
We had an amazing stay in Monterosso, thank you, Bruno! The property is located perfectly near the coast (not in the first line of houses which is good considering the lively party nights in the town), if you don't mind walking a couple of stairs, you'll be rewarded with a wonderful view of the sea, a typically coastal boardwalk and a nice infrastructure right at the foot of the hill. We actually found the "many" stairs to be a nice "workout" and had no problem getting into/ out of the apartment. If you're struggling with mobility, though, you might want to look for another location, as most of the Ligurian houses at the coast are built "up the hill" and the stairs are something that you'll have to live with, one way or another. The apartment has everything one might need for a cozy & easy stay. The furniture for guests is simple, but new and/ or well preserved. Bed linens and towels are clean and fresh (and are being changed 1x a week), the bathroom is not new but clean. The fridge and the gas stove work perfectly and the living room/ kitchen is stocked with pans & pots pretty much to the brim so you can cook all by yourself without having to rely solely on the local restaurants. There's no microwave or coffee machine, but the stuff isn't as essential while on vacation and you can make coffee either on the stove or by bringing your own filter, if you're not used to moka machines. There's a balcony and a small private garden spot (that is accessible from the balcony) that is nice to sit in after the heat dies down. The location is sunny, but not unbearably so - the sun is mostly there in the morning and goes higher up during the hottest hours, so the apartment is good to stay in during the heat. Parking is a sore spot for coastal towns (especially the ones located on the hills), so you'll have to either use the chargeable parking lots down at the boardwalk or a small private parking that is located on the road between the house and the boardwalk OR you look for free of charge parking spots along the road higher up the hill. If you've been to Liguria before you know the drill.:) We had absolutely no problems with parking though our car is pretty big. We've had good experiences communicating with the owner (Bruno) and the housekeeper (Laurance), both are friendly and quick to answer all the requests. Laurance is always accessible and happy to help you with anything. Bruno is friendly and can give you any information you might need. Thanks again
