2 bedroom, one bathroom in leafy central Edinburgh location
- english, french
I grew up in Edinburgh but moved to London when I left school, only returning 6 years ago. I dont regret it at all, Edinburgh is the most beautiful place to live!
Lesley purchased this Apartment in 2012
Why Lesley chose Haymarket
I absolutely love my house. It is perfectly located for both peace and convenience. I love the garden and enjoy pottering in the summer. The rooms on the first floor have huge windows and high ceilings, giving a wonderful feeling of light , even on a dull day.
What makes this Apartment unique
The house is set in a lovely residential area close to the city centre. The houses are all Victorian stone villas and very pretty. My apartment is the top half of one, giving me the first and second floor of the building. The flat is beautifully light, with lovely big windows. I am lucky enough to have a large garden too which guests can enjoy n the summer.

Excellent, clean, very helpful lady. Beautiful home.
The property was beautiful and ideally placed for buses and shops, cafe, Tesco. Lesley was very helpful and welcoming.
The house was clean, bright and airy. The beds were very comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom
We can’t wait to return.
Lovely light and spacious apartment with a very welcoming host.
We were looking for somewhere central in Edinburgh for our son’s graduation and as we were driving there needed somewhere to park for the duration of our stay. Lesley’s apartment is a beautifully decorated light, comfortable and spacious property with the bonus of off street parking located in a quiet yet central residential area. We will be very happy to stay there again when we visit Edinburgh and definitely recommend it.
Wonderful upper level in a shared flat
Lesley is a fine hostess, and we greatly enjoyed our stay in her flat. It is very bright and cheery on the upper floor where we had two bedrooms and a bath. We were there with our two children, who are seven and nine, and who appreciated the opportunity to borrow her back garden. The shared kitchen was a nice place for breakfast and dinner, and Lesley was nice enough to make hot chocolate for my daughter. The location is really terrific, with easy bus access to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Scottish Museum (and for families, look at getting a family day bus pass - without children we would probably have walked). Cannot recommend it enough!
Thanks for coming, it was a huge pleasure to have you here.
Wonderfully bright, feels more like a house than a flat!
Four of us stayed for the rugby game recently. Lesley was extremely helpful with all the arrangements before the visit, even getting breakfast in ready for us. The flat is beautifully decorated and spacious with traditional tall sash windows; light floods into the flat on either side of the building. Rooms at the top of the flat are comfortable, one smaller than the other with sloping ceiling. Good mattresses and toppers make all the difference.
At the end of the street there is a well stocked deli/mini supermarket which opens till late. There are also two excellent coffee shops very close by.
On the local high street , in Bruntsfield, which is only 4 or 5 minutes away, there are lots more coffee shops and restaurants as well as small independent boutiques.
I am lucky enough to also be very close to 5 cinemas and several theatres ( Kings theatre, the Lyceum, the Traverse and the Usher hall are very close by).
The house is very well served by buses and a bus to the centre takes only a few minutes. Princes Street, the castle and the Royal Mile are also walkable.
