A very charming cottage nestled on the beautiful upper Toccoa River.
This is a perfect getaway! Relax in the hot tub. Hike the nearby Benton-McKaye Trail, fish for trout in several great nearby streams( Rock Creek, Cooper Creek, or the Toccoa River)Antique shopping and festivals in Blue Ridge, Suches, Blairsville, and Dahlonega are all within reasonable distance.
A very spacious open first floor with a sweet bar top, bar stools and padded bar chairs.A 55" HDTV is surrounded by comfortable couch and chair with a corner wood burning stove.
The 2nd floor loft is accessible from a drop down ladder and has a queen bed.
The private master bedroom has a 32" TV with a queen bed and oversize windows for a nice riverfront field view.
The kitchen features a double sink with an oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and a coffeemaker. A washer/dryer is available in the utility room.
Outside, a large wraparound porch with swing overlooks a large riverfront field with an inviting fire pit. A hot tub sits on the large open porch that extends out over the riverfront field.... Great for stargazing!
A perfect romantic getaway, or for sharing with friends and family.
I am an owner of a drilling business in the Atlanta area. I have always appreciated the outdoors , with a love for trout fishing. My father has a primitive log cabin nearby, and I have always found this area of North Georgia to be especially beautiful.
Anthony Charles Trettel purchased this cabin in 2004
Spacious 2 acres overlooking the upper Toccoa river.... What more could you want? A perfect getaway with plenty of privacy!
As near perfect a place as you could find that combines solitude and the relative nearness of charming mountain towns.
Have rented cabins in the past and this is now my favorite. The cabin is quaint, stylish, and clean. It has a very neat loft also. Add the two acres of property with the extra large fire pit, the hot tub, and the river - there are plenty of things to do. We brought our dog and she had a ball running around unleashed and playing in the water. The large outdoor speakers were also cool. Bring your favorite CDs to enjoy during your bonfire or while relaxing in the hot tub. You won't be disappointed with your stay! We plan on returning later this year.
Tip: After you turn on the main driveway - you will cross a wood bridge then you come to multiple forks in the road. Stay left at each fork until you see The Stargazer sign on the left.
The cabin was very charming and accommodating. I especially enjoyed the wrap around porch with the swing watching the hummingbirds drink out of the feeder, while listening to the river below.
I would highly recommend this cabin to other couples looking to getaway from it all.
