Overview

About the property

Ranch home with 4 bdrms, 2 ba, sleeps up to 12

Maine has Frenchman's Bay, Massachusetts has Nantucket Sound, and Maryland has the Chesapeake Bay! Enjoy the ever changing panorama of spectacular sunsets, teeming wildlife, graceful sailboats, and impressive ships from a truly wonderful and historic location, Love Point! Located just 4 1/2 miles north of the Bay Bridge, we are 20 minutes to historic Annapolis, 40 minutes to Baltimore and 50 miles to Washington, DC.

This 2400 sq. ft. fully landscaped ranch home is situated on over 1 1/2 acres of land with 200' of shoreline. There is a dock with ladder for easy access to the bay which is ideal for boating, fishing and swimming because of its shallow waters and smooth, sandy bottom. Afterwards, soap up and rinse off in the wonderful hot/cold OUTDOOR SHOWER!!

The home interior is colorful and comfortable. A cathedral ceiling spans the kitchen/family room providing a delightful open gathering space to enjoy the fireplace and waterfront views. There are hardwood floors throughout, CAC, electric baseboard heat, ceiling fans. In addition to the Living room, family room, and porch there is also an outdoor front porch, and 60' back deck complete with several dining tables, loungers, and plants galore. Our yard is expansive yard with shade trees. Contemporary fabrics mix happily with antiques and hand painted furniture which the owners have collected on the eastern shore and abroad. There is a 46' HDTV and piano for music lovers. The finished basement serves as a space for additional beds and ping pong and foos ball tables. The adjacent lot provides ample area for the volleyball field, fire pit, privacy and space for our wildlife to roam - birds, bunnies and even a deer or two!

The house sleeps 4-6 people most comfortably, however, a 'dormitory' style room in the basement, works well for groups up to 12 attending weddings or family reunions in the area. There are:

.... 6 twin beds,

.... 2 queen size beds and

.... 1 king bed

A ping-pong table, toys and games provide entertainment on rainy days. Linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs providing a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, ice maker etc.

Come and enjoy! You will be delighted and refreshed.

This weekend with our whole family here on the bay has been wonderful - almost magical. This has been the perfect respite for my siblings and parents who all work in New York City.

Waking up everyday to a million dollar view was up lifting and relaxing.

Paula the owner will ensure that your stay will be relaxing and peaceful. She will answer all your questions quickly. Our daughter was married down the road at The CBBC, and the house was home base for all the details. We were from out of state but we felt as if we were home. Friend after friend kept saying, "How did you find this little piece of paradise?" The deciding factor was that the house was dog friendly, we have a well trained, no shedding Golden Doodle. You will need to make special arrangements with the owner. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here the last week in June. We had a wonderful time. The setting is magnificent. We had incredible views of the sunset every night. The outside is fully furnished with various sitting areas, tables, lounge chairs, volleyball net, and firepit. The landscaping was beautiful. The inside is warm and very homey. Everyone immediately felt very comfortable in the place. The 3 bedrooms on the main floor are nicely done, and everywhere you look there are lovely "personal" touches from Paula. The kitchen has everything that you need, from pots and pans, to serving dishes and glassware. If you forgot anything, don't worry about it. Paula probably has something you can use! The bed linens were all freshly cleaned, and there was an ample supply of towels. We spent a lot of time in the water using the canoe and jumping off of the pier. The water temperature was perfect. The house is off the main road, but within 5 miles of stores and restaurants, which was perfect for us.

It also has a ping pong table, foosball table, games, and puzzles down the basement.

One word of warning, though. We were there during 2 storms, and the wind can be very forceful. Make sure that you do not leave anything on the pier or outside on the patio (even when there is not a storm), unless you don't mind having it blown away.

This is a wonderful place for a family vacation. Paula was wonderful and very easy to talk to. She even helped us with directions and day trip suggestions.

Nice location

  • 4 of 5

Location is great. Lawn and water are lovely. Great sunsets. House and dock need some serious work though. Needs some TLC. Ladder to the water was not really safe, boards on deck were not nailed down, and lots of potential splinters so be careful with kids. But with a good once over, this place could be a gem.. At the end of the day, we didn't come for the house, we came for the outside, the fishing, the swimming, etc, so even though I am a little harsh on the facilities it was still a great week. Thanks

Lovely owner and great property

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here over Christmas holidays while visiting family on Kent Island. The property is beautifully situated on the Bay. The house was clean and we found everything we needed--great wi-fi, dish TV. The best part was that we were able to bring our dogs. One of the dogs is older and doesn't like the kennel and the other dog is feral rescue and is terrified of people so it's great to be able to bring them with us. The weather was horrendous the whole time we were there, which is of no fault of the owner but we did wind up leaving a day earlier than expected. With good weather, this would be an exceptionally beautiful place! The owner went out of her way to make sure there was a Christmas tree and decorations. Very thoughtful.

AMAZING !!!!!!! Wonderful owner - perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We needed something that wasn't too far away from home and could also accommodate our family and our dogs. The owner is SO NICE !!!! They had everything we needed in the kitchen. It's RIGHT ON the water with exquisite views. Its comfortable and casual. Can't wait to go back !!!!! It's the perfect place for a family vacation that's really all about relaxing and spending time together. We used to do a 7 hour drive (with kids and dogs) to North Carolina but this is SO MUCH better. It was less than an hour drive for us and had everything we wanted and more. I REALLY appreciated the short drive when it was time to come home and get unpacked - we spent the last day of vacation enjoying it instead of packing and driving.

Beautiful Location with amazing views!

  • 4 of 5

Our family came to Maryland for my daughter's wedding. This home was so perfect for all of us to stay and be close to the wedding venue. The home was comfortable and the views amazing. We all enjoyed watching the wildlife and boats on the bay. On the final nights stay we had an incredible sunset. We would highly recommend this home for its proximity to DC, Annapolis and the Eastern Shore. We would love to come back.
