We were very pleased with most of the aspects of this property. The location was great! Indian Wells is a very beautiful area of the Coachella Valley and we enjoyed exploring the neighborhoods surrounding our gated community. The brand new pool and hot tub was located right out the back yard (about 30 steps away). The backdrop was palm trees and mountains and there was ample green space within this community so that this incredible view was not obstructed. The only drawback was that there were bugs in the condo itself. There were just a few cockroaches and crickets that we found in the first couple of weeks but we just kept cleaning out the cupboards where we found them and killing them when they didn't get away. Then they started to appear more regularly (especially in the kitchen) so I started asking other renters and owners whom we had met in the complex. They all said that they had not had even one cockroach in their condo here nor at any other ones they had rented in the past. They all could not believe that we had been experiencing this and had not moved out and contacted the owners yet. They encouraged us to contact the owners immediately to let them know so they could get someone in to spray. I contacted Michael and Denise by email to let them know what was happening so they could arrange to have their condo sprayed. Denise replied immediately that she would talk to Michael and get back to me. They didn't get back to me for days despite my continuous efforts to reach them by phone, email and texting. In the meantime we were being overrun with cockroaches in the cupboards, through the kitchen and in the bathroom. When Michael finally returned my call he informed me that we were in the desert and that bugs are in the desert and that I have a low tolerance for bugs. He also said that they do not believe in poisons and pesticides! This explained why we had them and the other renters did not. He still was reluctant to have the condo sprayed but I insisted because I knew that new renters were arriving the day after we left. We stayed at home the next day to let the sprayers in and then spent the next day killing and cleaning up the groggy roaches as they dropped from various locations. I told the owners that they should advertise that they are pesticide free so that the renter can choose whether they live with chemicals or cockroaches. I still do not see this on their site so I feel I needed to share this with other potential renters.
