ABOUT THE ART LOFT GUESTHOUSE

The loft guesthouse is one large open artistic living space with vaulted wood ceilings, draped skylights, a new bathroom, and a mini kitchen with a new Fisher Paykel stainless steel refrigerator. It's open and quite spacious (675 square feet) with several areas; kitchen, bedroom, dining, living, and an office space. Amenities include a 32' Sony plasma TV, a stereo, and lots of books. The queen bed has fluffy down bedding and it's very comfortable. Artist paint splattered floors contrast with modern furnishings. Sleeps up to 6; 2 on a queen bed, 1-2 on the modular couch that can be positioned for sleeping, and there are queen and twin aerobeds.

LOCATION

Located in the heart of Venice, on a quiet tree-lined street, the famous Abbot Kinney and Marina are just steps away. Stop by the French Market Cafe for coffee & croissants, then stroll 15-20 minutes through the scenic canals to the beach! Located in one of the most artistically exciting areas in Los Angeles, California, it's no wonder renowned architect, Frank Gehry, has chosen to build his own home right down the street! Bike to the beach in less than ten minutes on our two guest bicycles.

Great getaway spot

  • 5 of 5

My adult son and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend here. Great location on a quiet, shady street and easy walk to the beach and shops. The guest house is a pleasant, sun-filled and relaxed space, spacious enough for the two of us to hang out without feeling crowded. The well-stocked kitchen enabled us to do light cooking, which we appreciated, and we enjoyed the eclectic array of books, architecture journals and other magazines. The bed was quite comfortable, and my son was fine sleeping on the modular couch. Jane was extremely responsive and friendly. This was our third stay here; on two previous occasions our entire family rented the main house and we loved it. We spent Thanksgiving week here in 2015 and the kitchen had what we needed to cook a huge feast. We'll definitely be back.
