Not beach front
There was a view of a pier not a beach. The unit I stayed in was not up to date. I have stayed there in the past and the other uints I rented were nicer and cleanet
The condo was not fancy but clean. We were comfortable.
Place smelled like rotten food , was outdated
Immediate entrance place smelled awful. Found there was rotten food in the garbage disposal. Stale flowers with old stagnet water was smelling as well. 4 towels total for 4 guest for 5 days !! Had to purchase towels. Had to purchase trash bags as they only gave 2!! For 5 days. Had to by toilet paper had 2 tools for 4 people for 5 days !! Floor was dirty. We left the place cleaner than we arrived.
I am disappointed that my guest would leave such a review. Her stay was July 3-7. The resort has a no pet policy and she snuck her dog in with her for the stay. I charged her security deposit so this is her way of getting back. Dog treats were found under the couch cushion and the condo smelled of dog when housekeeping went in. The dog was reported to the front desk after being seen by next door guests on the balcony. The flowers in the pretty vase were not in stagnet water and she must have took the vase with her because it was gone upon her departure.
A home away from home on the beach, what else can you ask for?
We totally enjoyed our brief stay in the condo. It was clean, bright, and very well equipped. The entire complex was clean and updated so it made for a very nice stay with no complaints. We really liked the pool and the pool chairs so when we were not on the beach we were enjoying the view from the pool deck. Thanks Donna for the warm welcoming stay!!
February and March 2018 in Unit 206, at the Sunglow Resort, in Daytona Beach Shores
Unit 206 has a nice decor and a modern kitchen, complete with a dishwasher.
The view of the ocean is good and the sun shines all day, on the balcony.
It is convenient to have the washer/dryer room right across the hall.
Being on the 2nd floor of the resort allows one to use the stairs to get up and down from the pool and parking lot, rather than wait for the elevator.
The staff at the resort is friendly and helpful.
The lobby always smells fresh and clean, due to the daily efforts of the cleaning staff.
The pool area is clean and in good order.
As for the area, there is a restaurant (Crabby Joe's Pier) next door, a bank across the street and a 711 a block away.
There is no vagrant/homeless issues, such as exist at the Daytona Beach Main Street Pier area. Daytona Beach Shores is a much safer area of the Daytona coast.
What more could you want!!
Winter, at the Sunglow Resort, in Daytona Beach Shores.
We stayed at Sunglow Resort, unit 206, all through February and March of 2017.
The unit was great, with new appliances and marble countertop and all necessary kitchen wares.
The oceanview room has sunshine on the balcony from sun-up until late afternoon.
It is located beside a good restaurant, across from a bank and close to a 711; no need to drive at "Happy Hour".
We have already booked for next year.
