Comfortable apartment - great terrace - perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this apartment for 4 nights during our summer vacation in Italy and France. We have visited Venice 8-10 times over the years, and really wanted to find a location off the beaten track this time.

This place was perfect; near everything we needed, close enough to San Marco and Rialto, but still far from the tourist crowds. The apartment was well equipped, comfortable and clean, but our favourite thing was the terrace: Spacious, sunny and with great views. This is not an easy find in Venice! Here we enjoyed breakfast in the morning and a glas of wine in the evening.

Sabrina was a great host. The online communication ahead of our stay worked perfect, so did the check-in and check-out. We would be happy to return to Venice and Sabrina's apartment

One of the best vacation homes ever.

  • 5 of 5

Imagine if you will, opening your own private door and having this stunning view of the facade of the San Giovanni e Paolo church, a picturesque canal and bridge, the incredibly stunning Scuola Grande di Sam Marco which is a working hospital, and the equestrian statue of Bartolommeo Colleoni and you haven't even locked the door yet. This is what we saw every time we left or came back to the house, and we never tired of it.

The house is amazing. So extremely comfortable and homey. If you are in need of wifi which we were, there is a modem right in the house with excellent reception.

We cooked every evening meal, and had plenty of pots and pans and dishes. We were there over Christmas, heat was very comfortable, the shower was hot and had loads of pressure. There is a washing machine that we used a couple of times, and a portable clothes rack that we dried clothes on in the living room and they worked out great. The refrigerator was very big and there was even a freezer! From the dining room table, you could see the facade of the church and the people walking over the bridge.

Sabrina met us at the house, she spoke excellent Italian, and was very helpful. We stayed in touch by texting off and on. We got the damage deposit returned by Pay Pal which was extremely helpful since we weren't stuck with all those euros as we were leaving.

It's hard to find any negatives. As a few other reviewers have mentioned, an end table on the right side of the couch would really help for sitting with a glass of wine. There is a shelf behind the couch, but I was worried I'd spill it in the couch.

This was our 7th visit to Venezia, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. This place just made our vacation seem like we were living there, not just visiting.

Keep your pure dream of Venice being here

  • 5 of 5

I could simply say that my stay was EXCELLENT in all senses. But, when you have such an experience, the comment needs some particular details: Inside, the intelligent distribution of the divers spaces gives the strong sensation of comfort and liberty, the furniture and decoration are harmonious and of impeccable taste, as is the owner's care.

Magnificently located, with splendid views and joyful streets and squares. A miracle!

Absolutely a Wonderful Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Our first visit to Venice and we so enjoyed returning to this home! You'll find all that you need or want .... The kitchen is well supplied, the dining table is large for all the sights to see, the living area is pretty and comfortable. The outside patio is large and most pleasant in the early evening or mornings with pleasant views. We arrived in a hot spell and the air conditioner was fabulous. The location is perfect, too, nice little restaurants, gelato steps away and right on the canal!!! Sabrina was very helpful and great to work with on all the arrangements. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Great "off the beaten path" location and stay

  • 5 of 5

We have visited and stayed in Venice on several occasions and this apartment was delightful. The location next to the cathedral, the many, many local shops, bars and restaurants all made life seem effortless. The photos accurately depict the apartment and the washing machine is just one of many plusses. Well maintained, clean and the terrace is just what we were looking for. Great choice.

Lively neighborhood yet off the beaten path

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this charming apartment for 4 nights in September '15. The location is fantastic. Situated just over the bridge from Campo SS Giovanni E Paolo, we enjoyed watching the local children play soccer and jump rope from the terrace while sipping wine in the late afternoon. Cafes on the campo and the street below were very convenient for meals, coffee and drinks. While the street is lively, we had no trouble sleeping at night as the bedroom is air conditioned and the shutters can be closed to block out the morning sun. The apartment is clean and well appointed with a very comfortable bed and high quality linens. The appliances that I used (washing machine, dishwasher, microwave) were all high quality and in good working order. Sabrina and her husband are very nice, and worked hard to answer our questions and ensure that we were comfortable. We particularly enjoyed eating at The Spaghetteria restaurant on the piazza. We highly recommend this apartment for your stay in Venice!
