Adorable boutique cottage near the Village, 2+Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, Sleeps 6
Welcome to the Seagull Cottage!
This is a classic 1940's Island Cottage Home in a perfect location near the Village! This is not a second home with personal belongings in it, but rather a boutique cottage that we use exclusively for our guests at Island Cottage Company, a family owned business we started over 12 years ago. We have lots of repeat guests and are happy to provide references.
This 2 Bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home (sleeps 6) is located just 4 blocks from Mallory Park and the Village/Pier Area on St. Simons, which boasts wonderful pubs, restaurants, two parks, beach access and a new public pool, along with tennis courts and a GREAT little library.
Guests rave about the high quality furnishings, linens and comfortable beds.
The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and has easy access to the
many bicycle and walking paths that St. Simons Island has to offer.
The sunroom leads to a deck overlooking a large fenced in
back yard. Complete with an outdoor shower and teak furniture with
umbrella, it is the perfect place for a BBQ with the family.
A large fenced-in back yard, full of our famous Live Oak trees and complete with
swingset, allows the kids and dogs a good place to run while you
grill fresh fish on the large gas grill, complete with gas.
All the neighbors are wonderful people and we take care to ensure that our
guests feel at home and respect the folks that live here permanently.
Loud noise or large parties are not appropriate for this area.

Beautifully decorated beach cottage
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need.It was so nice to have a little home away from home to enjoy the island. We rented bikes and really enjoyed the local neighborhood and the location of the cottage made it very quick and easy to get to restaurants and shops.
A great St Simon's vacation at the Seagull Cottage
This is our 2nd stay at The Seagull Cottage and we enjoyed it as much this time, which was a 5 day stay, as the last time which was over the Labor Day weekend 2015. The Cottage is very clean, decorated beautifully and fully appointed with all you need for your time away from home. Michele and Scott make sure you have snack and drinks of your choice when you arrive and they are very accommodating and helpful for everything. Both times we have visited we have brought our 12+ years old Labradoodle - Snuffy, with their permission and it truly is a great 'family' stay. Thanks to Michele and Scott for our new home away from home!
We have stayed in the cottages owned by Island Cottage Co. since 2011 and come at least once per year. Have stayed in the Seagull several times and always felt as though I was at home. I have enjoyed the Seagall with my husband and dog and also with friends for a girls getaway vacation. Clean/comfortable home, quiet neighorhood. Very close to the village & pier, within walking distance. You won't go wrong staying in this cottage! Oh, and did I say Michele is the perfect host? Well, she is and I have met a friend for life!
Perfect place to stay!
Piper cottage/Island Cottages is the perfect cottage on St Simons Island. It offers everything...and the accomodations are 5 star! Personal touch in their cottages.... Pet friendly, close to everything, restaurants, attractions, shopping, beach, etc. We only stay in Island cottages!
From the moment we walked in the door of Piper Cottage it felt like home. Very comfortable, clean relaxing place to vacation. The cottage has everything you need and if you have a dog, it will love the fenced in back yard as ours did. The neighborhood is very quiet and within a short walk to the village. Michele has a great sense of style in decorating and also provides quality linens & towels in her rentals. Only complaint in staying here, is that you have to return home at some time!
Love The PIper!
My family and I enjoyed The Piper to the fullest! Our dog loved the huge backyard! The cottage is spacious yet cozy.....very clean yet comfortable. We were close enough to walk to the beach and to The Village. Our hosts were incredibly gracious and warm. I can't wait to go back!
