About Andres Nazario

My partner and I fell in love with this property over 15 years ago while we were both teaching in Gainesville, FL. We remodeled it for our weekend use since we lived only less than two hours away. We have been offering it as vacation rental since 2001. We now live in Miami Springs, and plan to retire in Flagler Beach in the future. I welcome your inquiries through this website, or by phone, or e-mail. I will respond quickly. Although we no longer live close to Flagler Beach, we visit often, and we have a local caretaker who attends to maintenance of the property and to the needs of our guests.

Andres Nazario purchased this house in 1999

Why Andres Nazario chose Florida Central Atlantic Coast

We have come to Flagler Beach since the early eighties. We love the quaint and tranquil environment, without franchises, or high-rise buildings. This is a wonderful beach community with the flavor of old Florida beaches, unrushed, friendly, and the beach is never crowded. Often you can look in both directions while sitting on the sand, and see no one, or one or two people in the distance. On weekend, a few more people show up. Almost everything is walking distance, if you like to walk, or a very short driving distance with ample parking everywhere.

What makes this house unique

From this property you can watch the ocean all the time. During the winter months Right Whales may show up, and dophins are visible year round. There are also at least two gopher tortoises calling our front yard their home. These are protected species and if you don't get too close they will move around while feeding on the vegetation without much concern.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Casas de la Playa is our home away from home! The pictures don't do this bungalow justice. The house is clean, comfortable and stocked with all the kitchen basics. It is set back from the road a bit, and has a nice, natural yard. Andres is a gracious host, and is very responsive during the booking process. We've stayed here several times and never had any issues. We'll keep coming back to our favorite Flagler beach home!

The view is fantastic! Casas is across the street from a perfect beach that you have almost all to yourself.

Great apartment with a wonderful view of the ocean. In a quiet neighborhood and close to restaurants, and shops. The apartment is nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything we could need. The perfect place for a getaway!

Very quaint, organized and stocked unit.

  • 4 of 5

Very quaint and cute unit. Perfect for children to middle aged adults (parking area, walkways and stairs make it pretty hard for senior adults). Walkways/stairs/deck and yard area need some maintenance. Needs comfortable inside sitting furniture. Beautiful sunrises from inside unit or outside on deck. Very accessible to the beach, restaurants, stores, the pier, etc.

Owner's Response: Dear Evelyn, Thank you so much for your review, comments, and suggestions. We will be replacing the walkway in the next few weeks. The front yard is left as a natural habitat to reflect the native beach vegetation and to protect the home of the gopher turtles living there. We value your comments, and will take them in consideration. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay!. Thanks again, Andres

Cute little place with incredible views

  • 5 of 5

We chose this place for a relaxing beach location. It turned out to be everything we were looking for and more. We got to watch the moon rise and sunrise every day. We will be back for sure. All of the restaurants and bars in the immediate area were awesome. This house had everything that you may need. We look forward to a return visit.

Breath taking beautiful

  • 5 of 5

It was our first time to this little gem, and I wasn't disappointed. The view was beyond perfect. My husband and I got up and 6 am, made our coffee and watched the sunrise every morning. Not only was the sunrise amazing, we were lucky enough to watch the Dolphins play as well. Absolutely perfect vacation and would recommend to anyone wanting that perfect getaway. The only complaint is we drove so far to be there, but once we got there it was well worth it. I'm sure we'll be visiting this little gem in the future, but only this time we'll be smart and fly. Thanks for giving us this wonderful experience.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for choosing Casas de la Playa for your vacation getaway. We are delighted that you enjoyed yourselves. What a wonderful experience watching Dolphins play. Those who come in winter - early Jan or Feb may be lucky to see Right Whales. There is always something interesting to discover when you have the ocean in front of you! Please hurry back!

As usual we had an amazing time and the upstairs cottage had an amazing view. You could hear the waves crashing even with the doors closed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars this time is because the bed is so hard. I had trouble sleeping. Other than that we will be back ... maybe a different cottage next time as we have tried out 2 with Andres now. I don't suggest for people with small children.

Since your last stay, the bed has been upgraded to a queen size and more firm mattress, as requested by previous guests. Congratulations on your new journey, and please hurry back.
