Very nice unit in a quite complex close to the beach with two pools. The patio opens right up to the pool area and the grounds are very tropical. This complex has the most palm trees of any complex on the island - so if you like to hear the wind blow - this is the unit for you!

Padre Island is the longest barrier island in the United States and

its beautiful beaches are maintained daily by the City of South Padre

Island. In addition to relaxing on the beach, its activities include

fishing for trout, redfish, flounder, and snapper in the Laguna

Madre, a shallow, hyper-saline lagoon that teams with all sorts of

aquatic life, or off-shore for tarpon, kingfish, red snapper,

swordfish, and other game fish. Whether your preference is

fly fishing, spoons, crank bait, plastics, or live bait, guide

services for all types of fishing are available for large and small

parties, or you may go it alone on the beach, the jetties, or piers.

For the more adventurous, there is kite-boarding, sail-boarding,

parasailing, jet skis, and wave running. For family fun, visit the

Schlitterbahn Beach Water Park, go horseback riding on the beach, or

visit Sea Turtle, Inc., started in 1966 when Ida Fox Loetscher,

the "Turtle Lady" of South Padre Island, first brought an orphaned

Kemp's ridley sea turtle into her home on Gulf Boulevard to nourish

it until it could be released. Finally, be sure and try the many

fine restaurants and bars in South Padre Island and Port Isabel, just

across the causeway, offering a variety of seafood, Mexican dishes,

and other cuisine. Whether it is the Wanna Wanna Beach Bar, Dirty

Als, Louie's Back Yard, the Sea Ranch, Pirates Landing, Scampi's, Wanna Wanna, Burger Fi,

Boomerang Billy's, Blackbeards, La Jaiba, or one of the many other

fine local restaurants and bars, you will discover your own "special

Located only two minutes from the beach, this tropical-themed, beautiful condo includes three TV's, VHS, and DVD's, a stereo, nice dishes and cooking utensils. All dishes, flatware, glassware, cups, a microwave, and coffee maker are furnished with the unit. The unit also has granite-topped coffee and end tables; a porcelain tiled floor; two full distinctively decorated bathrooms; a master bedroom with a queen sized brass bed, dresser, chest of drawers and lamps; a second bedroom with twin beds, night stand, a dresser and chair; and all linens and towels that you will need. Its beautiful, gated patio is decorated with hibiscus trees and plants, and includes a patio table with four chairs,and a propane gas grill for your use. Best of all, a swimming pool, deck chairs, and jacuzzi await you just a few steps from your patio. The Villa Del Sol is one of the best maintained condominium complexes on the island and, in addition to its beautiful courtyard, features outside showers for your use when you return from the beach and your assigned parking space is located just a few steps from your front door.

Perfect place for our family!

We really enjoyed our stay! The condo is in a great location, the pool is right outside the patio, and the beach is just a short walk away. Molly, the owner, quickly answered any questions I had by email before our trip, and Victor, the property manager, was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. We will definitely stay here again!

Owner's Response: Check in is determined by when the unit needs to be cleaned. Check out is at 11 am so if the unit is occupied the night before, it needs to be cleaned. If it's not rented the night before I let you check in early and or leave late if it's not rented the night you leave. The times are pretty standard in the rental world. Almost all condos have a cleaning fee. It's the same for one night or 10 nights; so yes, for one night it is more. Hope this helps in understanding the pricing....stay more nights for the best value!

The property offer great accommodation for a family, nice two beds and two ensuites

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. The position was great, it has a balcony that opens straight onto the pool, which was super convenient. We were a family of four and the condo offered perfect accommodation for us with two en suites. Access to the beach was very easy, a quick walk to a lovely beach. Everything we had need of was provided. Dealing with the owner was seamless and she did everything to make the stay comfortable. Would definitely return and recommend.

Spend a little more for a better environment...

This vacation was not pleasant from the start. Needless to say, we did not enjoy our stay. From the moment we check in with the manager, the first thing he told my wife was, "I recognize you, didn't I see you at a party one time?" To which my wife responded, "No, I am married with 2 children, I don't go party." Owner should really have a script or something for him to follow because he clearly does not understand or care about professionalism, respect and feeling safe at a property.

Unit was decent at best. Sheets and towels were smelly like they were not cleaned well, they smelled like fish. Air conditioning unit was hot, no propane with the gas grill, television in master bedroom did not have a remote. The air conditioner was not working properly for 2 days, I called an left messages with the manager to which I would get his voicemail and finally had to call the owner. In to which he them worked on the air conditioner and let the unit thaw out...he then acted put out...

To anyone reading, I would NOT recommend staying at this unit and to spend an extra couple hundred dollars and have a more updated unit, ammenities and a manager that looks and acts professional.

Owner's Response: Lets see what I should address first: the manager has been married for 25 years and has four children. I have never seen him take a drink ever. And the only parties I've ever known of him going to are church and family birthdays. Not all parties are bad. As to the AC, by the time the renter called me, Victor had gone to the roof to check the unit. It was frozen. Many times people leave the outside door open, particularly to the patio, this causes too much moisture for the unit to deal with and it malfunctions. It has to thaw out. As to the sheets and towels I will check to see if they need replacing. No one else has complained but I will check. I'm sorry his family visit didn't go as he planned. I try to keep my unit priced for family vacations.
