About David Catalino
Grew up in New York State. Attended University of San Diego School of Law and fell in love with San Diego. This beach house started as a family venture with my mother and sister in 2002 and we still take care of all details ourselves.
David Catalino purchased this Townhome in 2002
Why David Catalino chose Mission Beach
This beach in South Mission (Lifeguard Tower 10) is the widest and longest beach area in San Diego (South Mission Beach to Pacific Beach). There are volleyball courts and room for any beach game you want to play. You can also find an area of sand all for yourself. The property faces south and gets sun on the patio all day long. Sunsets are visable all year long from the beach as the sun sets to the west over the water.
What makes this Townhome unique
Large patio to grill and enjoy the sun and your family. Mainly families with young children stay in this area of South Mission Beach which is quiet, but the action of Belmont Park and the roller coaster are only a short walk away. Other Attractions: Seaworld San Diego Zoo Balboa Park Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum Seaport Village Gaslamp Quarter Torrey Pines Golf Course Old Town San Diego Village of La Jolla Coronado Island Petco Park where the SD Padres play April to September

Close to beach and bay !
We had a wonderful time staying here. It was close to everything and it was in a quiet family-centered section of South Mission beach. Thanks Brian and Julie.
Right where we wanted to be.
Nice friendly and quiet court, so close to the beach a pleasant walk from Belmont park and restaurants. We wish we could live there. Thanks for sharing your wonderful place with us.
Wonderful Beach House
Great house just steps from the beach. All beach towels, chairs, toys, boogie boards included. Property manager was very helpful!
Very convenient. Information of grocery stores that deliver would be great. Everything was there that we needed.
GREAT location and spacious condo. Owner had everything we needed.
Loved staying in this condo! We have been coming to Mission Beach for years and this was the most square footage for a 2 bedroom condo in our price point. Patio furniture, kitchen countertops and bathrooms have all been updated that aren't reflected in the photos- a nice plus.
We always stock up at the grocery store and prepare a lot of meals versus eating out so the open kitchen and table for 6 was very nice. We really appreciated little "extra" things in the kitchen that haven't been provided at other places we have stayed- aluminum foil, plastic wrap, sandwich bags, tupperware, chip clips, and enough trash bags and dishwashing detergent to last the full week.
Beds were very comfortable and the master bedroom had plenty of closet space and drawer space.
Owner Dave was attentive and brought us a new toaster when we reported the one in the unit was broken.
TON of sand toys, beach chairs and boogie boards to share with the upstairs unit.
Garage is a typical beach garage-tight but we were able to back our minivan in and climb out the side doors. It was nice to have a garage as we rented SUP boards for our teens and needed a place to store them overnight.
As mentioned in previous reviews, you do hear the noise of the upstairs condo. Owner Dave is really good about reminding occupants of that unit to be mindful of those staying below. We were fortunate to have relatively quiet neighbors that were not early risers and we were out of the condo enjoying the beach most of the day.
Location of this condo is perfect if you are looking for a quieter beach location. It is far enough away from streets that you don't hear traffic noise, in South Mission beach so a short walk to shops, restaurants, and Belmont Park but not too close to be bothered by crowds and weekend traffic.
We had a great time here! The beach is just a short walk away. Parking is very difficult even with a small car. There is only room to park one car, because you share a garage with the other unit.
