My husband and I stayed at the McKenzie House for 8 nights in early June on our second honeymoon. The place was perfect for us! It's small, but the space is well laid out so we did not feel crowded. Because the weather was so good, we spent a lot of time on the patio, enjoying the beautiful garden, listening to the birds, the wind chimes and the gurgling fountain. It's very private, felt intimate. Cynthia did a beautiful job of decorating the place, and it was spotless. The breakfast basket she provided lasted us almost a week! Very generous. And the small hot tub was very clean and relaxing. It really helped make our trip perfect!
My husband and I rented this adorable casita for the week of our 30th wedding anniversay. The casita was just perfect for a couple. We had plenty of privacy. We never moved the car when we stayed in Santa Fe. We were able to walk to all the sites.
Perfect place to relax and enjoy Santa Fe. Cindy and David have a well appointed Casita with all the comforts of home plus. The Casita is situatuated where one can enjoy peace and quite while being close to town. Walking distance was not a problem. The description was right on, layout better than a five star hotel and the amenities. Who would not enjoy NOT sharing a hot tub with others. Coffee in the hot tub in the morning and a relaxing soak with a glass of New Mexico wine in the evening was pure perfection.
The cleanliness was outstanding. I though the glass shower door was wonderful. We liked the lighted vanity in the bathroom. It gave just enough light.
I would definately recommend this property to a friend and co-worker. We were the envy of all who were attending the conference we were attending.
As we were attending a conference where all meals and guest activities were part of the registeration fee, we only at out once. The restaurant at the LaFonde served delicious food in a professional atmosphere. I did get to tour some on the closer attractions and had one afternoon for shopping. Left a few $$$$'s at local stores.
