About Colin Stewart
About the owner: I moved to Leadville in 2001. I love Colorado and the mountains and wanted to move here. I drove all over the mountains of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming, trying to find the perfect location. When we came to Leadville, I knew we had found the place. It is completely surrounded by mountains, has beautiful views of Colorado's two highest peaks - Mt. Elbert and Mt Massive. Leadville is centrally located in Colorado and within 45 minutes of Vail, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Beaver Creek. The local ski resort, Ski Cooper, is 15 miles. I can ATV, snowmobile, cross country ski, hike, and bike right out our door. My large family, 3 siblings, 9 nieces/nephews all love to come to Leadville for all of the outdoor activities.

Why Colin Stewart chose Leadville
In addition to the 2 bedrooms, there is a twin-size sofa sleeper in the living room. We can provide a blow-up twin size bed for children and/or cots. We also have a portable crib (pack and play) for babies. Just let us know what you want and we'll try to make it happen.
What makes this House unique
This property is on a large wooded lot, but still close to town.

Great Little Cabin for a Great Price
Our family of 5 had a great week at this cabin in Leadville in late June/early July. For the price, the location and facilities are wonderful! We were able to see a bunch of beautiful CO locations (Aspen, Breckenridge) and hike into some breath-taking areas (Independence Pass, Hagerman Tunnel) without breaking our vacation budget. We would love to come back and see more!
Pros: quiet location, kitchen space is awesome, nice new appliances, outside campfire ring
Cons: seating in kitchen and living room is limited, loft bedroom and back balcony access is a little awkward
The Blase Family
Beautiful place in a beautiful town
This was larger and nicer than the photos even led us to believe. We were very happy with the amenities/property, the accommodation/communication with Colin and the town of Leadville.
Easy access to
Downtown Leadville and bike/run trail right next to property. Beautiful property with fire pit, one picnic table, but bring your own chairs if possible. Really enjoyed our stay.
Great location, secluded cabin
Great balance of price and value, overall a very enjoyable stay. A few things could be cleaned up in the backyard for a fully peaceful experience. Kids loved the loft and we all loved the seclusion in pine trees. Thanks to the owners for sharing the place.
Great place for a family
We skied 3 days at Ski Cooper, this cabin worked out great for our family of 5. With all the snow, parking would have been tight with more than 2 vehicles, but the cabin was great.
Very bad experience
We had daily problems getting in and out the property since it had not been plowed all season. This presented a major issue during our entire stay. Ultimately, we ended up leaving a day early as we were done having to deal with this issue. I did not anticipate this being such a big problem considering we were renting a cabin in Colorado.
Winter: Downhill skiing (we are located 15 min. from Ski Cooper, 30
min. from Copper Mountain, 45 min. to Vail, Beaver Creek,
Breckenridge, Keystone); cross-country skiing; snowmobiling.
Summer: Hiking, biking, fishing, camping, ATVing, white water rafting.
