About the Owner

About the owner: I moved to Leadville in 2001. I love Colorado and the mountains and wanted to move here. I drove all over the mountains of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming, trying to find the perfect location. When we came to Leadville, I knew we had found the place. It is completely surrounded by mountains, has beautiful views of Colorado's two highest peaks - Mt. Elbert and Mt Massive. Leadville is centrally located in Colorado and within 45 minutes of Vail, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Beaver Creek. The local ski resort, Ski Cooper, is 15 miles. I can ATV, snowmobile, cross country ski, hike, and bike right out our door. My large family, 3 siblings, 9 nieces/nephews all love to come to Leadville for all of the outdoor activities.

Good living at 10,200 ft.

Staying at mountain cabin is life simplified. The amenities are stripped down, but there's everything that I personally want or need there. I love staying here. I have occasional need to stay in Leadville for extended periods and I always stay at Mountain Cabin.

Great Quiet Location on Wooded Lot.

  • 4 of 5

This home is well cared for. It is clean, the kitchen is well-stocked & there is plenty of fire wood if needed or wanted.

We wanted more space than a hotel room would allow & this home provided that along with a warm ambiance.

The second floor is at the top of a large ladder. The new deck allows you to access the outdoors without having to go downstairs.

There is a washer & dryer, which is located next to the spacious kitchen.

The driveway is semi-circular & there is plenty of parking space.

We pulled a trailer & found the circular driveway to be tedious with backing our trailer in & out on a daily basis.

The location is great as it is 1 mile to the golf course or Turquoise lake & 1 mile to downtown.

The property manager, Colin Stewart, was great! He addressed our questions or concerns quickly, via text or phone.

He is very respectful, responsible & knowledgeable.

We would recommend this "Quiet Mountain Cabin" to fellow travelers visiting Leadville.

Love the cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is well stocked, clean, and provides a perfect base for adventures in the Leadville area. The weather in Leadville was gorgeous during our stay and was perfect for all the hiking, horseback riding, and fishing we had planned. We definitely plan on returning next summer to beat the heat.

Great "home base"!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just spent 9 nights at this beautiful cabin. It was very close to town but not in town, beautiful setting in the pine trees, easy to get to. This cabin has everything you need, very well stocked and clean. For us it was the perfect location to call "home base" while we went off exploring CO, everything we wanted to do was within a 2 hour drive, which for us was not bad, but there is plenty to do if you want to stay closer. We saw and did A LOT and enjoyed coming back to the cabin to relax. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to get away for a weekend or for a week, this cabin has everything you need! Price point for this cabin was great. We will be back!

Perfect stay in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Quiet Mountain Cabin. The house was perfect for four people, and we enjoyed the nice fire pit and picnic table in the back. The interior is updated and nicely decorated, and we also found the mattresses comfortable. As others noted, the loft requires use of the indoor (or outdoor) ladder, so it's a room meant for people with mobility. I'd recommend staying in this beautiful mountain home!

Nice Cabin in the woods

  • 4 of 5

I really liked Collin's cabin. I was perfect for me - simple and rustic but clean and outfitted well with everything I needed for a 3+ week stay. The internet/TV did not work when I got there, but I contacted Collin and he fixed it immediately! He also communicated well checking in occasionally to make sure everything was good. If you need to stay in Leadville, but don't want to be right in town (but only about 5 minutes away) I would definitely recommend this place.
