About Stan Breakell
We fell in love with this town while dropping our oldest son off at Camp Seagull in 2001. We have brought our 4 boys here since then and they have all grown up loving Beaufort as well. 5 of us got certified for scuba here at Discovery Dive and we tend to make every vacation a diving opportunity. We hope to retire here one day-if we can ever get our boys out of college! We know you will fall in love with Beaufort too!

Great place to visit
We had a fun yet relaxing time in Beaufort. This house is spacious and well appointed. The water access right out the back door is a real treat! We are looking forward to staying here again sometime.
Carrot Island View
Everything was great, loved the house and location. We only had a few issues: The online listing didn't indicate that we needed to bring our own sheets and towels. I couldn't find it. I don't understand why homeowners don't offer an option here. I am on vacation, I want to be pampered a bit by at least walking in and having beds made and towel handy. The other is the cleanliness, not the best; the quality of shower head in King bed bathroom (very old) and the grout was moldy and broken at the tub/tile edge. It didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves though. The owner of the house was quick to remedy the sheets and towel situation for us! he was great. We would definitely return!
We love this place
Perfect place for us to stay. We always have a good time and love the beauty of 1512 Front St. Look forward to our next visit.
Beautiful home with exquisite harbor views!!
Lovely home! Spacious and beautifully decorated. Well maintained and comfortable. Great location within walking distance of downtown Beaufort. Wonderful views of harbor!! Will definitely be back!
Another great memory!!
Our family was fortunate enough to stay in this wonderful home for two weeks in August. With four adults and two teenagers we had more than enough room. Our favorite things were playing games at the round table in the sun room, waking up to the ponies grazing on the island across the water, kayaking, boating, crabbing, cooking in the well appointed kitchen and dining around the big dining table and the incredible view. The location was convenient to restaurants, grocery, Atlantic Beach, and Morehead City. Downtown Beaufort is lovely and has many great restaurants. We made some memories on the Spouter Inn’s outdoor patio-great bar and food. My only hesitation to give this home glowing remarks is that it might limit availability the next time we want to come. We plan to come for a long weekend in October for a family wedding and can’t wait to get there. The owner was great to work with and responded quickly to questions and requests. We hope to return next year. The Hamric Family, Greensboro, NC
Greatest Ever/ unforgettable vacation/ outstanding owner willing to help make your stay stress free.
Beautiful location, home is very accommodating for family of 4 or more. With easy access to Taylor's Creek and a short walk into town. The views are amazing. Would recommend it to you and your family!
So glad you had a great time in our waterfront home. We love it there too!
We hope you will return again soon...fall is a beautiful time in Beaufort!
Look out your back door at the wild ponies that roam on the
protected Rachael Carson Preserve across the water. Cape Lookout is a nice round trip in a
day to see the lighthouse. Collect shells on Bird Shoal or Carrot Island.
Ride bikes anywhere your heart desires (just 5min. to town on bikes). It is a nice 10 minute stroll to the downtown docks. Walk to town, have lunch or dinner and see the million-dollar yachts that stop in Beaufort on their way up and down the Intracoastal Waterway and the great Atlantic.
You can go ferrying, kayaking, sailing, walking, bicycling, cruising, shelling, and lounging. You can visit Fort Macon, too. And when no one is looking, you can check your email with free WIFI.
Boat slip with deep water access in front yard! Downtown Historic
Beaufort is a stroll away. There are beaches, state parks, kayaking,
excellent shopping, awesome restaurants, and a ferry to the outer islands. This is a quiet vacation spot for couples and families. Just across the draw bridge is a more-active Morehead City, with miniature golf, theaters, malls and all the touristy activity kids sometimes want. Fishing is excellent and many tournaments are held in Beaufort all year round. Walk or bicycle to the North Carolina Maritime Museum and see Blackbeard the Pirates' recovered artifacts.
There is also a wooden boat-building workshop. Bring your boat and tie
it up to our deep water access dock!
