I traveled with a friend to the area and she had lined up a real estate agent to show me property. I told her she was wasting the agent's time. I walked into this house and didn't sleep all night. Wrote the contract the next day and as they say the rest is history. I live in Maryland on the Wye River and am a retired realtor of 40 years.
Janet Hannsz purchased this house in 2002
This property is up to date yet feels very rustic inside. It feels like a vacation home. It is close to the lake. It could not be constructed this close to the water with today's restrictions. It has a warm, cozy feel. There is a newly constructed fenced yard to the side of the property and the pier is large. This cove where it is located is very deep and according to the past owner, who visits yearly is a great fishing spot.
Clarksville is just minutes away. Unlike many of the properties I looked at, this property is a hop, skip to the grocery store and area restaurants. Clarksville is not a place for serious shoppers or those in need of a mall. There are no movie theatres close by. I often feel as if visiting Clarksville is like returning to the fifties.
