Beautiful Sunsets - Privacy - Year round enjoyment!
If the great outdoors is what you desire, you have the options of
swimming, boating, biking, hiking, and cross country skiing within a
few minutes of your door step. Or maybe you were looking forward to
curling up with a good book and to just relax. Cozy and quiet three
bedroom, fully furnished, four season private home, over looking
beautiful scenic and historic Lake Champlain. The house is located on 2.9
wooded acres. The Adirondack Mountains can be seen from the large deck
or from the upstairs balconies. The inside of the house is charming,
with an open living space to enjoy. There is over 260 acres of town-owned hiking trails within a few steps of the rental house.
The property is beautiful. The house is set in a treed area but has open views of Lake Champlain. A quiet setting and no other property is visible. Very relaxing but within 25 minutes of our major city of Burlington.
The benefits will be that you will leave with a sense of calm. It is that relaxing of an area.
The view from the deck couldn't be beat. We enjoyed sitting out there enjoying hawks go by while having a glass of wine. We were disappointed in the steep stairs to go upstairs to the master bedroom. We feel this should be known in case of people having back or hip problems. Also, there's no privacy in the master bedroom and you have to go downstairs for the bathroom. I would not recommend for elderly people.
Adorable house with everything taken care of. The house is clean and comfy. We had 6 adults and one small child (who slept on the sofa) and we all had a place to sleep and spread out our stuff and ourselves throughout the weekend. The bathroom is really big, too. Beautiful decks overlooking Lake Champlain, with a grill. All you need to bring is your clothes and toiletries. We will definitely be recommending this to people!
There were just 2 of us but the place was equipped for several more comfortably. The place was beautiful and spotless. Both levels had a beautiful view of the lake and the large deck became our favorite spot for eating--no bugs. There was a grill and all the accessories necessary to BBQ. The kitchen was small but had all the necessary equipment for cooking/baking meals. The owners thought of everything down to plastic bags for leftovers and for garbage, salt and pepper shakers, complimentary coffee with creamer. Washer and dryer helped make life easy. Towels and linens were supplied as well as a chest full of games and DVDs. The place was a little out of the way but it was worth it for the quiet evenings--definitely a getaway.
The Grandaway vacation home was wonderful with all the creature comforts of home. The photos do not do the home justice - the house and views are outstanding. The owners have lovingly updated the home w/ all kinds of modern comforts and ensured that it still retained it's rustic feel. We were there with 3 daughters, ages 2-8. Each of them was easily entertained when we stayed at the house either by movies, games or books available. The owners were delightful; helpful when called upon and ensured we had all that we needed - including directions when lost in a sudden summer evening fog! Can't say enough good things about the home or the owners.
