Dear Julian, We had a safe trip back to Germany and like to give you some feedback about your house. Staying at your Florida home was a real pleasure for us and we throughly enjoyed every single day. The house is so beautiful and perfectly equipped, we liked the neighborhood a lot and felt very safe! Since we are a family of four, three bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect for us. We enjoyed going to nearby Pass-A-Grille Beach as well as relaxing at the community pool. We had a perfect vacation which we throughly enjoyed and would like to spend our summer 2016 vacation in your house once more. This stunning three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom town home is ideal for the perfect Floridian holiday. There is also a den with sofa bed for 2 more guests. It has just been (July 2014) newly carpeted throughout. Built in 1992, it has a modern feel in every room including all essential appliances such as a dishwasher, disposal, microwave, oven, refrigerator, washing machine, dryer and 4 flat screen televisions, radio cassette/CD player and a DVD player. Its interior features include blinds or new Plantation Shutters on all windows, ceiling fans, a balcony and an amazing vaulted cathedral ceiling in the sitting room. The beautiful townhome's exterior features include a patio surrounded by lush landscaping, garage, shared heated pool and spa. Our car currently occupies the garage, while there is ample parking on the ramp.

Wonderful area, lovely accommodation

The house was beautiful, comfortable and well appointed with every amenity you could need. The surrounding area was excellent and there were plenty of places for good walks, which we enjoyed. The pool area was clean, tidy and very relaxing. People were friendly both at the pool and in the neighbourhood. The whole area was immaculate and well maintained. Indeed there was an exclusive feel about the area. It was easy to pick up the keys and there were numerous shops and restaurants nearby.

There were only 2 minor drawbacks that we found, neither really to do with the house, but worth mentioning. No matter which way you travel from the house you will be hit with tolls. They are only 75 cents but mount up after a period of time. Also in the past we have been used to going to Anna Maria Island where parking and beach access is easy and free. In the St Pete Beach and Pass-a-Grille area you have to pay to park and at $2.25 an hour, we thought it expensive. So didn’t go there as often as we would have liked.

Home away from home

We (family of 4) had the pleasure of staying in this lovely house twice (summer 2015 + 2017). It was everything as advertized plus more. Nice furniture and bedding, complete stocked kitchen, cosy terrace, washer and dryer, parking in front of the garage, wonderful garden. The house is located in a beautiful community with pool area. Beaches, parks, restaurants and shopping are near by. We would recommend this "home away from home" and will come again for sure. Thank you Julian, for your hospitality.

Lovely clean home with good owner,

We stayed in this property for a week to recover from two weeks at Disney. The home is lovely and the owner Julian and his rental agents more then friendly.

Pros -

Clean home, well presented with quality furniture and fittings. close to beach but not that close if you want peace and quiet, pool on site lovely, ample parking.

Cons -

If travelling with teens like we did maybe a little too quiet, the home owners association rules do not lend themselves to having that little bit of fun.

That is not the owners fault but there is a couple there who live on site and make every one feel uncomfortable, other pool users felt the same as we did

One day the wife just stared at us from a gate as if she thought who are we, whilst we were in the pool, would not mind if it was busy and we were loud but it was neither. This couple are the sort of people who think they own the place, even go the lengths of putting towels down at 0700 hrs to reserve chairs even though pool is barley used by anyone else as there is a picture perfect beach just five minutes away.

Again not owners fault but be prepared to be made to feel uncomfortable I would have had words with them as to who do they think they are but Julian is such a nice guy you do not want to cause him any bother.

The home, the owner 5 star, peaceful, relaxing, break if your older couple or groups of adults.

Isla del Sol is an island community of 350 acres of beautifully manicured tropical gardens surrounded by the waters of Boca Ciega Bay. It is located on the southernmost tip of St. Petersburg, a pebble's throw from St Pete Beach. With an average temperature of 73.7 degrees and 361 days of sunshine a year, St. Petersburg is Florida's 'Sunshine City'. The island boasts an 18-hole championship golf course, the Isla del Sol Yacht and Country Club, as well as a beautiful white sand beach with mature coconut palms. There is also 'The Shoppers Village' complete with a bank, post office, several restaurants, clothing shops, a florist, gift shops as well as many other quality shops. Isla is conveniently located to a variety of recreational facilities above and beyond the local amenities.The unspoilt beaches of Ft. DeSoto are just a short drive to the South. The Gulf Beaches are a 3-minute drive to the West. If you like golf, tennis or boating Isla has a country club that consists of The Isla del Sol Golf Course; it is an exceptional 18-hole championship layout.

Challenging fairways, beautiful bunkered greens,shimmering lakes and gardens enhance the beauty and heighten the challenge of the course. The Tennis Center consists of nine lighted soft, Har-Trucourts, first class instruction, clinics, member events, round robins, mixed doubles, active singles and doubles competitions, and other events held throughout the year. If you are a boater there is also a yacht club. It boasts a 78- slip Yacht Basin for sailboats as well as large motor yachts and small runabouts alike.

It is not uncommon to see the muted pink roseate spoonbills feeding in the mornings in the tidal creeks. There are also numerous birds to be seen, such as the great blue heron, cormorants, Florida wood storks, the majestic osprey as well as many other sea birds feeding and resting in and around one of several of our lakes located throughout the island.

The quaint Spanish named streets meander through beautiful stately royal palms, queen palms, oak trees as well as hundreds of other tropical specimens. The architecture is comprised of high-rise, mid-rise, 2, 3 and 4 story buildings as well as townhouses all with a Mediterranean flair.

The island is truly paradise. It is a totally relaxing place to be.
