If your looking for beautiful palms and shrubs, on the water, peaceful, well maintained home then look no further! We had a great time during our vacation and we plan to come back next year. This home was perfect for us. There were plenty of places to walk & run on special pathways, a dog friendly beach and the house was situated well off the main highway. At night the stars shined brightly with no light pollution. We had plenty of wilddlife too. Like manatees, iguanas, birds and a racoon. We highly recommend this home and the owner is very nice to work with too! Thanks for the memories.

Heaven On A Canal

  • 5 of 5

We visit the Keys annually - our heaven on Earth. We've rented many places, but this house is, by far, the best. The place is nicely furnished, very clean, the bed is exceptionally comfortable, the bath is to die for. After sandy days of snorkeling and beach-sitting, it's just a pleasure to return to.

With the pesky mosquitoes at night, I cannot overemphasize the significance of the screened porch. We sit there night after night, watching the sun go down and listening to the canal critters (whatever they may be!).

So far as dealing with property owners, I've yet to come by any more honest, helpful and friendly than Brian. For those of you just starting this sort of adventure, trust me when I say there are some unreliable rentals - and owners - of properties in the Keys. I know from experience. You just can't beat Brian's willingness to help ensure a great time in this place.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood, so morning coffee or evening cocktails are exceptionally peaceful. The location is superb. It's close to all the best beaches in the Keys, a short drive to the Dolphin Research Center (a must!), and Key West takes about 45 minutes of the most scenic time you'll ever spend driving. Marathon itself is loaded with great places to eat, charter and rental services, and quirky little shopping spots.

Here's how good the whole experience is - we completely changed our vacation dates because it was booked the week we planned on going! My sincere advice is to rent the place... just don't rent it when WE want it. :)

Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

This place was the best place I have ever stayed at in the Keys. I have been traveling there since 1986 and only missed a couple of years, with a lot of years going two or three times. We have stayed in several houses over the years but this place was the best by far. We plan to make this our home away from home in the Keys. I can only hope that this house will remain a rental. Brian was a pleasure to deal with and is much more personable than an agent. The ramp easily fit my 30 foot boat and the dock had enough room to fit 2 of them. The house had plenty of room and was very clean. The carport was big enough to park my 350 truck under and long enough for my trailer. I highly recommend this house. Take it from some one that has been there several times. This is where you want to stay.
