Convenient Cozy Townhouse

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location of this townhouse as it is walking distance to everything in downtown Bar Harbor. The dedicated parking spot was a huge plus as parking can be very difficult to find.

The townhouse itself is charming and made the ideal home base for us. We both needed to keep in touch with work and had plenty of space to set up laptops and do what we needed to do. The kitchen is very well equipped and so we only ate out once. (I have food allergies, so this made life much easier for us.) The unit is just a few blocks for Hannaford's grocery store so lugging groceries was not an issue.

The layout of the townhouse is very cozy with the kitchen, living room and 1/2 bath on the first floor and a complete master suite on the top floor. It was very easy to relax in the unit or out on the balcony - it really is a home away from home.

We had limited interaction with the hosts, but they were quick to respond and very sensitive to our needs.

If ever we find ourselves back in Bar Harbor this unit will be our first choice for accommodation.

Prime location, close to everything.

  • 5 of 5

This condo is walking distance to all of Bar Harbor's downtown attractions. Only time we used our car was to drive into Acadia National Park. You could not ask for a better location. That alone is worth 5 stars.

Although the interior is slightly dated, I can't complain because it had all the necessary amenities and then some.

I would not hesitate to rent this property again and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay right in Bar Harbor.

A Reasonably Priced Place in Bar Harbor

  • 3 of 5

Overall we felt the pictures of the condo represented it well. The porch was nice to have, but the blinds were dusty and the condo could have been a bit cleaner. The location is the best part, as you can walk to everything in Bar Harbor and it is on a quiet side road. We did have an issue getting our deposit back, as it was inadvertently not initially released by the owner, so it has been over 20 days since our stay and we have not yet received it, but should soon.

Owner's Response: The return of the security deposit is handled by this website who holds the money. I did nothing to delay it. It’s supposed to be returned in 2 weeks.

Perfect getaway spot for 2!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just spent 6 nights in this townhouse, and loved it! Great location! We parked our car most of the week because we could access everything in town by foot and when we went into Acadia we took the Island Express, so convenient. We also loved how comfortable the space was and how it was stocked with everything we needed for basic supplies. We can't wait to come back for another stay!

Acadia National Park
Car: recommended

Acadia National Park has glorious scenery, unique in the nation

combining mountains that arise right off the coastline, giving one

stunning vistas of mountains, lakes, rocky seacoasts, and numerous

islands.

The park is very accessible for hiking, biking, walking, swimming in

the ocean or warmer lakes, kayaking, canoeing and cross country

skiing in the winter. Extensive hiking trails for day hikes vary

from easy to difficult. Picking wild blueberries is a favorite

activity. A unique carriage path system is ideal for

walking and biking. The fall foliage in October is spectacular.

Bike, kayak, horse and canoe rentals are readily available on the

island.

Boat rides including whale watching, sailing and naturalist cruises

are available. Boats can be rented for sailing and fishing.

A golf course is in Bar Harbor.

The town of Bar Harbor and the whole of Mt. Desert Island on which it

is located has many fine restaurants with sea food and lobster a

specialty, and many unique shops and galleries.

Other summer activities are varied and numerous including park tours

and lectures, museums, art and craft shows, cinema theaters and

frequent concerts.
