Why Mark and Chris chose Houghton Lake
This cottage is located on the north side of Houghton Lake among privately owned cottages. There is less traffic and you have the yard all to yourself.
What makes this Cottage unique
Wonderful neighbors on both sides. We offer two boatlifts and provide a 12 foot row boat. Walking distance from a small store that sells tasty ice cream, pizza, meats, soda, adult beverages, and fishing bait as well as other food items.

Houghton Lake Vacation
Accommodations more than expected. House clean and any needs were taken care of. Property managers were friendly and helpful.
Nice Place to Relax on the Lake
The owners and cabin are both excellent. Would stay again if we decide to come back to Houghton Lake.
Lovely cottage on Houghton Lake
My family and I had an amazing time at Due North Cottage. It had all the comforts of home with a beautiful lake view. We absolutely loved sitting out back and talking around a campfire next to the lake. The shallow, sandy bottom was absolutely perfect to go out swimming and was perfect for all the young kids in our family. The party store just up the way was so convenient to get the little things we'd forgotten. Would absolutely recommend staying at Due North cottage, you won't regret it!
Houghton Lake is the largest inland lake in Michigan with over 20,000 acres of water. Summer activities include fishing, swimming, boating, golf, and shopping. There are many restaurants and bars to chose from, go carts, 2 kids amusement parks, putt putt golf, and other water craft rentals. The cottage is within walking distance of a convenience store that sells ice cream and other treats. We provide Cable and internet. Sorry we do not allow pets!
