Townhome, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 5 Sleeps

This single level stucco townhome/condo is on Castle Rock Road, in the quiet Village of Oak Creek (el. 4000 ft.). the gateway to the red rock Sedona area, with "knock-out" close views of Bell Rock, Courhouse Butte, and Castle Rock. It is just a few minutes to major hiking and biking trails, 4 golf courses, grocery shopping, bank, restaurants, fitness center and post office (the last 5 a short walk.) We are 15-20 minutes from "uptown" Sedona and its' art galleries, with gorgeous red rock landmarks (Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, etc.) all the way. In less than 3 hours you can be at the Grand Canyon National Park and other major points of interest. We are 1 hour from Flagstaff, and 30 minutes to a hour to four National Monuments, two state parks, and numerous protected national forest archeological and rock art sites. The wonderful historic mining town of Jerome, now an artists' community is a 45 minute drive. The drive from Oak Creek to 'uptown' Sedona is a photographer's dream.

Our's is a very comfortable space, conveniently located. The master bedroom has it's own bathroom, and a single as well as a queen bed. The second bedroom also has a queen bed. Closet space is more than ample. The small rear covered patio is accessed from both living room and bedroom. The covered front porch has a morning sitting area, with view of Castle Rock. All linens are provided, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. Stove, washer and dryer are less than 10 years old. I provide laundry soap, and starting paper supplies and tissues.

Phoenix International Airport to our place is an easy and

interesting 1.5 to 2 hour drive. A shuttle runs a regular schedule between Phoenix and Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek.

About the Owner

I am retired from the University of Michigan, having lived in Ann Arbor MI. for 39 years. I like to hike, camp, etc., be outdoors in forests and canyons, sing with the Master Chorale of Flagstaff and create ceramic pots. I now live in a house a mile and a half from the townhouse.

Great spot, very comfortable, beautiful area

  • 5 of 5

The condo is really comfortable, reasonably priced and has everything you need to have a really nice stay. The property was really clean and well maintained. It was nice to have two bathrooms, laundry facilities, and basic supplies. The area is great. We mostly hiked the area and everyone is really welcoming, but there are a lot of other things to do. Joan does a good job communicating and wants to make your stay as successful as possible.

Clean, Cozy & good location for MTB

  • 3 of 5

We would give it 4 stars if Joan would make available large TVs in all room. The only TV in the townhouse was about the size of my 23" computer monitor. Townhouse was clean. Heater & AC worked perfect, important to me. Internet was not working when we arrived. Joan was quickly scheduled someone to fix it during the holiday, A+ for me. Everything you need to cook are available in the kitchen. We r used to staying at the facility w hot tubs, pools, & gameroom (Village @ Mammoth), so it is a little different for us this time. Sleep 5 comfortably. There were some good movies available to watch. We would give it more 4 stars w/ more TV, provide hairdryers, white sheets and white towels (instead of Navajo theme), and more cooking utensils. Joan is extremely nice and very accommodated. We changed our arrival date a few time and she did not mind. We will come back next time for mountain biking trip and would not mind staying here again, with more TV, of course. Our kids kept asking for the TV to play game while we want to watch the football game. Did I mentioned that the location was great. It is near all the biking and hiking trails for all level

Location

From the Owner

My deceased husband and I found this unit to be a an ideal place for us come to when needing to get away from cold and dreary MI. for a while in the winter, after we retired. And since our daughter lives in Phoenix and son in San Francisco, it was a good place for me to come to alone.

The Village of Oak Creek/Sedona is surrounded by some of the most gorgeous scenery in the west. With famous red rock buttes and monoliths, pine and juniper forests, and its mild and sunny climate, it is a premier place for easy or challenging hiking, biking, photography, scenicdrives, golf, and mining and native American historical sites. Prehistoric ruins sites are many and notable within 2 hours. Slide Rock State Park in Oak

Creek Canyon is a natural water playground. Red Rock State Park is a pleasure. The Village of Oak Creek has 3 golf courses, Snap Fitness, and the Hilton Spa. Sedona's art galleries rival Santa Fe's. Are you a painter? It's a painter's paradise. Or take an art/media or healing arts workshop or, if here long enough, sign up for a ceramics or painting course at the Sedona Art Center.
