Why Darlene & John Billingham, Owners chose Point Pleasant Beach
Location! Location! Location! Walk into town. Walk to Hoffmans. Walk to Clarks Docksider. Great for wedding guests. Located in a quiet residential year round neighborhood just a few blocks to town and the train station- just under a mile to the hustle and bustle of the beach and boards. Bring Fido! Point Beach Hideaway welcomes your "whole" family and is both child & pet friendly with a fenced in back yard. This home is well equipped and decorated in a nautical motif.
What makes this Cottage unique
This is a charming property that is very warm and welcoming. With it's salt box cottage appeal and it's Cape Cod characteristics of a simpler time.

visit to Point Pleasant
the grandparents, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and Fido had a great visit. the property was great, as was Point Pleasant, and nearby Belmar and Asbury Park. We barbecued, drew on the patio with chalk, got up early, stayed up late, and generally had a lot of fun.
We had a fantastic week at the house. We had the best of both worlds with this location. The house is in an enjoyable and quiet residential neighborhood and only a quick trip to all that Point Pleasant has to offer. The backyard was perfect for enjoying the outdoor sleep and having privacy. Our daughter and dog enjoyed playing in the yard each day. The house has been remodeled/updated. The kitchen has all you will need to cook and prepare meals and has been very nicely remodeled. The den room and extra bathroom make it very comfortable for a small group. The house is very nicely decorated. The hosts had brand new beach equipment for us to use. The hots were responsive and answered any questions we had. We hope to be able to return to this house in the future and enjoy another wonderful holiday.
Excellent place to stay.
The house was clean and comfortable and adorably decorated. We had plenty of space and the house has everything you need. Owners were a delight. No complaints from us.
I was born and raised in Point Pleasant so for me it was coming home for a vacation and this property was just perfect. Close enough to the beach and boardwalk but far enough from the crowds in a nice neighborhood. The house has everything you could possibly need, the owners have thought of everything!
A great week away at the beach!
A little slice of heaven!
Point Beach Hideaway is bright, clean, comfortable, and inviting. The house has everything you need and the owners go out of their way to make you feel at home - starting with a personal note and special treat waiting for you in the dining room. They are only a text away if you need anything. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It didn't feel like a "resort town". But you are just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the beach and boardwalk. The fenced yard is great for our dogs, but it's also a peaceful and pretty place to relax and read a book. The house is beautifully decorated. It doesn't look our feel like a "rental property". It feels like someone's home and we feel like welcome guests in it. We have been coming for years and hope to do so for many more!
Wonderful Birthday Celebration
This house was perfect for our celebratory weekend. The decor of this home was impeccable and the cleanliness an A+ . It's in walking distance to down town for shopping ,eating and grabbing a drink or two. The beach is only about a mile away as well. Dar and John the owners welcomed us with a bottle of wine and handwritten notes! They honestly are very accommodating and were able to contact if needed. We have stayed in alot of shore towns and really could not believe how "pleasant" everyone was down town. It truly was a wonderful weekend getaway and look forward to staying here again .
While Point Beach Hideaway is sheltered from the energy and noise of 'Summer at the shore', it's only a few short blocks and a lovely stroll to the vibrant Arnold Avenue in downtown Point Pleasant. Here you'll find many eateries, coffee houses, book stores, boutiques, and antique shops. To beach it, grab your bike and head to the shore. You'll find all the excitement of Jenkinson's Boardwalk and several bathing beaches less than a mile away from your retreat. For a day of adventure in the Big Apple or a day trip to explore a neighboring shore town, like Asbury Park, head to the train station less than a half-a-mile away. Point Pleasant Beach has something for everyone with is stores, shores, and simple pleasures of days gone by.
