Why Chris Prime chose Glenville
Simplicity is key and we strive to maintain such! This 100 yr old Rustic Cedar Cabin was an original homestead of a local family here where they raised a hard working family. The creek, spacious grounds and surrounding views offer guests a relaxing vacation with the lake just 1 mile from cabin. Downtown Cashiers just 5 minutes away.

Relaxing Mother-Daughter Trip
The cabin was fully furnished with everything we needed and also quite comfortable. We especially enjoyed our hot tub experience on a frigid night with a sky full of stars. Thanks to Christine Prime for her hospitality.
Awesome Kimberly !!! Left all perfect as she is the MOST PERFECT of my guests! Thank you very much! Christine
Christine, the Owner, was extremely hospitable. She was very approachable and was always available to answer all our questions. The cottage was VERY clean and nicely decorated...even had fresh flowers. Furnishings, including the bed, were very comfortable. Everything you needed was available . We stayed 7 nights and felt very rested when we left. We plan to go back again when we can.
Quiet, relaxing stay
We enjoyed our stay, very relaxing. Although there isn’t a/c in the bedroom, which made it too warm for us, everything was certainly comfortable and the owner super sweet and attentive. GPS was spotty in the area, we got lost once going back to the cottage and she answered me via text right away with directions. Liked her instantly’
The only reason I marked down the cleanliness one star was that my boyfriend was wigged out by a few things. One was that there was mold on the bagels, the second was that the dishes were apparently washed by the previous tenant and he thought that was gross. Didn’t bother me. The third was the bar soap. We hadn’t brought our own so we had to use the partially used bar soap or shampoo to shower.
I loved that there was fresh farm eggs!
There’s a garden statue in the bedroom that is kind of creepy so we just put it in the living room behind the bar so we didn’t have to see it. The decor is very Deep South grandmotherly, as though grandparents are displaying all the gifts they’ve ever received all at the same time- golf, fishing, hunting, cabin/black bears, cottage, teddy bear, Victorian, etc- all “themes” are everywhere. You just have to overlook the decor and enjoy the sweet little 100 year old cottage. Certainly can’t go wrong with the location! Probably sounds like a lot of complaints but like I said we enjoyed it.
Thanks a lot for info.
Appreciate your concerns. I researched the garden girl statue and it appears to be harmless, yet glad you moved since it bothered you.
The soap container is body wash and shampoo, bar soap is always new and more bars in bedroom cabinet where emergency kit is. I always tell guests 'plz inform me of any needs', just a text and 'Im on it'.
Yes, decor is country and I agree, may need to update. Shocked that bagel had mold, sorry! I buy new for each guest (will rethink doing this favor).
I ask guests to 'wash dishes prior to exit 'at least starting the dishwasher (and I provide D/W soap). If guests decide to hand-wash, I request DON'T dry or put away so I can put in D/W to re-do. I get frustrated coming to cabin finding sink full of dirty dishes with days of dried on food upon exit of guests, so ask them to wash.
There's window a/c's in several windows that should cool the bedroom well if door stays open, but with temps in the 50's and not hotter than 70's often, you're the first to mention too warm which surprised me since you requested the gas fireplace to be turned on. There's 2 fans in the bedroom there (ceiling and window fans).
I always appreciate honest reviews as keeps me humble giving me plenty to work on. You both were fantastic guests and I'd gladly welcome you back to mine anytime. Thank you a lot for the 5 stars :) Sincerely,, Chris Prime
Had a short, but wonderful stay. The cabin is adorable. The creek the cabin is sitting on made it very soothing and relaxing. The owners were great! Very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Definitely will be back.
clean, eclectic decor, comfy bed, peaceful setting, great hot tub, wonderful hosts.
We enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very attentive if we needed anything. Peaceful location away from town but so close to town.
Convenient location, Just 5 miles from downtown Cashiers, century-old Creek-side cedar cabin with your own personal Hot Tub on deck is located 1 mile from beautiful Lake Glenville!! Easy access location next to a very quiet country road by Bee Tree Creek. Watch bicyclists ride by as you sip your morning coffee each spring during the famous 'Tour'de Cashiers' as picture here shows.
