Why Chris Prime chose Glenville

Simplicity is key and we strive to maintain such! This 100 yr old Rustic Cedar Cabin was an original homestead of a local family here where they raised a large hard working family. The creek, spacious grounds and surrounding views offer guests a relaxing vacation with the lake just 1 mile from cabin. Downtown Cashiers just 5 minutes away.

What makes this cabin unique

Spacious grounds for your enjoyment.

Guestbook comments from the manager

For several years, we have visited this cabin and have come to consider it our mountain home away from home. We first visited when we were dating... then engaged... then married. It is a very special place to us. We have enjoyed both the cabin and the Lake Glenville/Cashiers area year round. Great paddling, hiking and shopping are minutes away. Owner Christine Prime takes great care in creating a home that is warm, comfortable and charming. You won't find a better hostess. The creek, mountain road and barn across the street all create the perfect setting. Oh -- and the hot tub -- a fantastic feature! We always hate to leave and plan our next trip as we pull out of the driveway. Keep Coming Back! Kara & Mike

It is a charming and comfortable place. Easy to get to with a really nice view from the dining room table. So relaxing with the sound of brook just outside the house. Also the owners were great!

Excellent! Coziest stay ever!

  • 5 of 5

Loved the homey feel. Board games, little knick knacks, photos, wall hangings, warm blankets. Felt just like home. One of the lamps was so awesomely unique, we asked to buy it from the owners and they agreed! Superb location as well. Can't wait to go back!

Definitely would recommend!

Owner's Response: Donnell and wife was the best of my guests and although I didn't get to meet them, they were easy to communicate with via texts and left all in their cabin so perfect. They have a place at mine ANYTIME. :) THANKS SO MUCH ! Christine

Back to the Basics

  • 5 of 5

The cabin takes you back in time when life was simpler and quiet. Our boys frolicked in the creek, chased water bugs and rocked on the front porch. It rained every afternoon and we sat on the ample porch and rocked with no cell phones, tablets or device's. We had the chance to see the full moon rise over the mountain across the road. It was stunning! The house is fully equipped, if you enjoy cooking on vacation, clean and the beds comfy. Christine even bought some new toys just our my boys. We will certainly return when visiting this beautiful area.

Comfortable, cozy cabin in beautiful Glenville

  • 5 of 5

Our week spent here was heavenly! Very comfortable cabin located in a beautiful, quiet area of Glenville. Felt right at home from our first arrival. Mr. Jim and Mrs. Christine are very gracious hosts, very attentive to your needs, and at the same time giving you your space. The area is beautiful - lots of nearby hiking trails and Lake Glenville for fishing, boating, etc.

Quiet, Beautiful, Cozy, Relaxing escape from the c

  • 5 of 5

Christine went way above and beyond our expectations! She and Jim made us feel just like family and since we had our 20 montb old son, she even brought us plug covers, baby gate, high chair and stuffed animals! When we asked to stay one more night, because we had just fallen in love with their property, she was more than happy to allow us to move to another cabin. She made sure to inform us of many great areas to explore and even offered us some firewood to use because we forgot some. Both cabins were stocked with everything you can think of except whatever food you want to bring to cook for your stay. Also, the hot tub underneath the stars was heavenly!!! We cannot wait to visit again asap!!! Thank you again Christine for your kindness and hospitality!😀

Charming and Cozy

  • 4 of 5

A beautiful cozy cabin situated atop the lovely mountains of North Carolina that my husband and I adored while on our honeymoon. I'm a bit late in my review as we stayed last July, however, the cabin still holds the same impression in my mind as the day we checked in. We especially loved the charm of the décor, the private hot tub on the back deck, the oversized King bed in our master suite and the warmth of owner Christine. We didn't access the upstairs rooms but if they were anything like the downstairs Master Suite I'm sure they are wonderful. Everything inside and outside of the cabin was well maintained and clean. To us the layout, décor and charm of the cabin were even more beautiful in person than in the photos. We didn't use the indoor fire place but we did make use of the fire pit outside by the creek as the evenings can cool down a bit.

Owner Christine is great in her communication. She was thorough in her e-mails and available by e-mail or text with any questions we had. Although we had to leave early Friday morning, she still brought us the most fabulous French Toast breakfast dish we've ever had. We're both still craving it today.

Nearby must-see/do attractions that we loved include: Dry Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, White Side Mountain, Cherokee, North Carolina, Sliding Rock (great for kids and adults alike to cool off on summer days) Horseback Riding at the Whitewater Equestrian Center in Sapphire and of course Sweet Treats ice cream shop!

I highly recommend this cabin and hope to visit again someday soon!
