Hey Rachel, I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything. The wedding was beautiful. Everyone LOVED the cabins and I have already referred you to them because they love Gatlinburg and they want to come back. I wish we could have met, but I do know we will be calling again. We're planning a trip not next summer but the one after. And you were right, the view was Amazing from Bears view :)

Disappointing Cabin

  • 1 of 5

This is our 4th year visiting the Gatlinburg area and have stayed in some nice cabins. We were very disappointed in this one! It has the potential of being a very nice cabin with amazing views, however the cleanliness was unacceptable. The kitchen pans were coated with burnt on food from other renters. There was grease in the stove top and oven that smoked up the place. We completely cleaned the kitchen so we could use it. We couldn't use the pans as they were too disgusting. My husband swept the floor and cleaned up at least 50 lady bugs. We attempted to use the vacuum, but we had to clean that because dust came billowing out because it hadn't been clean. There were at least 4 light bulbs that needed replacing. Tammy was nice enough to bring a couple new skillets, a new vacuum and light bulbs. The biggest concern to us was the critter living in inside the roof of the cabin. Each night we could hear it scampering in the ceiling. I told Tammy and she had someone out to put a board over the chewed hole in the eave. But guess what? The critter was now trapped in the cabin! I could not sleep in the bedroom because of listening to the critter all night. If we banged the ceiling droppings would come out. Very unsanitary! The biggest disappointment in services was that when I contacted Tammy again about the critter and who to speak to I received no response. A very unfortunate ending to our Thanksgiving trip. I would not recommend this cabin until they have extensive cleaning done.

Owner's Response: All of the above issues were addressed during this stay or shortly after. My family has stayed in this cabin over the summer. There have been many guests who have stayed in this cabin since this stay and there have not been any complaints.

The cabin was very clean, and had beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this cabin and celebrated our 4th year anniversary.. We could not have asked for better service.. The cabin was everything we thought it would be. The view was beautiful from both decks, but better from top deck. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. We were very close to Pidgeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We had a wonderful stay. If your looking for a getaway or spend quality time with family, this is a perfect cabin for that.

great cabin and extra nice owners

  • 5 of 5

this cabin was one of the best cabins we have stayed at. each year for the past 30 years my husband and i stay at differnt cabins on our anniversary. there are other cabins around but the trees block the noise. also the other cabins are not close together. the hot tub on the back deck is very private. this is the first cabin that had extra thick towels which was very nice. the owners also left extra light bulbs. we had a small problem with the tv remote. but the owners went out of their way to help us solve the problem. they were on vacation and still made time to help. which says a lot to me when someone goes out of their way to make our stay at the cabin great. the view on the 2nd floor balcony off the master bedroom is great. if you want a great place to stay for some alone time this is your cabin.

Absolutely Fabulous!

OMG!!!! The pictures do not do this place justice! Unbelievable views and privacy. The cabin is immaculate and well furnished--probably the best bed I've every slept on in a rental. Great location! Just a few minutes drive to Gatlinberg or Pigeon Forge for the action, shows, and restaurants as well as to the Great Smoky Mts. National Park for nature and outdoor adventure.

better than described or the pics reveal

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I had an outstanding time during our May visit to the Smoky Mtns. We have been down there several times from Michigan, however this is the first time we've ever rented a cabin. Bear's View has an incredible view from the top floor/balcony, very refreshing to wake up to each morning. There are two or three cabins nearby, but the foliage hides them. Very quiet and peaceful.

Thank-you Rachel for your honest description of this cabin, we will definitely share and recommend to our "northern" friends planning a trip down there.

Location

Activity and Interests

Hiking (I call it walking as some of the trails are so easy.

Just be sure to wear good sport shoes -- no flip flops!

And take a light jacket. It can be cool in the mountains.)

Cades Cove is a must - a "driving around the loop" trip.

(For this I highly recommend a picnic.)

River Sports - Near by are both calm river tubing or

more challenging is white water rafting.

Horseback riding - Several stable are in the area.

Shopping - Pigeon Forge has the great outlet stores for EVERYTHING.

Gatlinburg has the quaint shops. You must try the candy.

Shows - Dixie Stampee, Comedy Barn, Mystery Dinner Theatre,

Wonderworks, Black Bear Jamboree, and many more.

Dollywood - amusement park for a full days activity.
