Great older smaller home
Really is a nice place. A little small for our family of 5. It is an older house. Communication with the owner was great, he was very nice and helpful. BUT the owner needs to replace the golf cart.. It's very old and felt unreliable and we had issues with it running at times. It was not fun after few days driving the cart because it was very uncomfortable because of the shocks. It's an old crappy cart. Owner needs to buy a new one.
Thank you for your great review of our home. We are glad you enjoyed your time on this beautiful island. I am a bit confused why after your comment above "Communication with the owner was great, he was very nice and helpful" you did not contact me and report an issue with the cart. We have a full time maintenance staff on island to address all needed repairs that happen from time to time. We would have been more than happy to take care of any issues you had with the cart. We are in a very harsh enviroment on this barrier island, everything becomes weathered from the sun, sand, sea, wind and salt. Once again we are glad enjoyed our home on this special Island.
My family had a wonderful time on North Captiva! The house was perfect and just as described! We are already planning our next trip here!
We appreciated the house, gokf cart, grill with charcoal, deck, and ability to do laundry. It was so handy to have beach chairs and beach umbrella available for use. Thank you to Sherman for quickly responding to and resolving the only real issue that arose during our stay. We hope to return to NCI, what a special place!
Thank you for such a great review. We pride ourselves in providing all the comforts of home at a reasonable cost so the average family can experience this beautiful island. As you had experienced we have a great support system on island for any needs that may arise during our guests time at our home.
North Captiva in March
The property was in a great location on the island.... beautiful beaches, sunsets, sunrises. The house and amenities were well worn but worked for us and the owner and property manager were very responsive and helpful. The golf cart needs some new shocks but got us around the island with only a few spilled drinks. It was such a wonderful place to vacation and we shelled to our hearts content..
Great to hear that your time at our home on our Island was so enjoyable ! It is true the homes and carts on our barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico do take a beating (well worn) due to the extreme enviroment of salty sea ,sun and sand. The important thing that we have repeatedly heard from our guests is that they liked our clean and fully equipped home for their stay, we are glad you appreciated that. The roads (sand paths) on the island are definitely not the paved streets we are used to on the mainland. Its best to hold your drinks off to the side when traveling on the cart. Here is a pointer for future guest :when on the cart and enjoying the scenery and the driver decides to turn without you holding on or paying attention and you go tumbling off "TUCK and ROLL" sand is much more forgiving than hard pavement. Captivating stay in north Captiva
Great property with double screen door to second story porch - we loved looking out at that blue sky and hearing the wind in the palms and crash of the surf! Everything at our fingertips for relaxing - enjoyed pool and tennis courts we had to ourselves. Loved the great service at all the local eateries- casual atmosphere and shorts and flip flops welcome.
Thank You for your wonderful review. Our goal is to offer a great experience at a reasonable cost and provide a stress free vacation for our guest.
