Tucked into a mountainside, this property has been selected by travel writers for National publications for its ambience, many amenities and location: 3 blocks from downtown Manitou Springs with its many quaint shops and restaurants, 2 blocks from major attractions and just 4 miles west of Colorado Springs. Once you have stepped up and back from the road below, you can stay with all the creature comforts you demand. You can choose to open the windows and breathe in the fresh air and listen to the sound of Ruxton Creek running down the mountainside most evenings. Come soak in your private indoor JACUZZI TUB for two and relax those sore muscles after a busy day of activities. Walk and leave your car in the property's PRIVATE off-street parking, as all of downtown Manitou and the main road to the Manitou Incline are now parking metered. At the Springs is just footsteps from incredible hiking trails including the Barr and Entemann Trails and attractions including the Iron Springs Chateau. So what are you waiting for? Call and be sure and ask about our BREAKFAST FIXINS Bonus included with any four night or longer bookings.

The Pike National Forest is directly behind the property via a private staircase, but location is just one of the reasons Honeymoon Couples to Corporate Travelers have enjoyed the Property. The Cottage sleeps 2. There is a staircase to accend but this gives the Property the quiet and privacy that most guests crave.

About Jeanne

My family and I moved here in 1994. We wanted to live in a beautiful place and as you can see, we are still here. We love the many hiking and riding trails, the little town next to the big City(Colorado Springs) and the many wonderful things this area has to offer. I wear several hats including being a licensed Real Estate Broker, being a Property Manager for some longer term rentals and doing some Professional Step-on Bus Guiding as well. In my spare time, I am a Planning Commissioner in this town that I love. I also ride my horses every chance I get.

Jeanne purchased this cabin in 1994

Why Jeanne chose West Colorado Springs

This Property feels very private but is easy walking distance to all the unique shops and restaurants of Manitou Springs. The cottage sits somewhat secluded from the road. Every effort has been made to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as you desire.

What makes this cabin unique

Location & Creature Comforts:

1. The Cottage is truly set up for your pleasure including a very largeJACUZZI tub with a brand tankless water heater so you never run out of hot water to A/C for our few really hot days. There is a REMOTE CONTROL FIREPLACE for cooler weather so come relax in comfort.

2. Some extras include a SHADY PATIO with plenty of outdoor seating. Come enjoy the view and stare at the stars at night. While inside, browse thru a few MENUS of local restaurants. You can preview your choices for dining before you journey out for Dinner.

3. You won't pay for parking. We have our own PRIVATE off- street PARKING with an extra space when guests have a special situation. We can accommodate a short motorcycle trailer or if you have friends coming to visit and need extra parking, we can probably meet those special needs that most properties can not. Just be sure and let us know your needs in advance.

4. The BREAKFAST FIXINS Bonus will be included with any 4 night or longer bookings May-December. With this bonus the Cottage will be stocked with a couple of juices, coffee, creamer, sugar, cereals, Pop Tarts, fresh fruit and a few other extras as well as condiments. All you need to bring is the milk!

5. At the Springs is on the FREE SHUTTLE route that runs all over town year 'round so park your car and take a ride.

Manitou Springs cabin on Ruxton Ave.

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was nice. Kitchen area adequate, just small, if we were to actually cook anything (we didn't). Bedroom comfortable. Not much closet space, but just enough for our stay. A bit of a walk to town, a few blocks; bus that runs up ave. to top and back down should have a stop on inbound side not so close to town to catch it. Stops would serve better halfway up and down. I suppose residents make do. Visitors would benefit with more stops to get on and off. Owner was always accommodating. All in all worth the stay.

Thumbs up!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. Overall, the studio apartment was clean, comfortable, and centrally located to everything we came to see, plus more. The property owner had available information about the apartment, menues for local restaurants and literature about places to visit.

Charming Cottage for Honeymoon in Manitou Springs!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Manitou Springs in the "At The Springs" cottage. It was perfect for us as we enjoyed walking into town for shopping, food, and night life, as well as some great hikes nearby. It worked as an excellent base camp for further exploring greater Colorado too. Being within an hour or two of most of Colorado's major attractions, often much closer, worked out well for day trips. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub after long hot days of walking around, grabbing some magic bath bombs from a shop in town! Jeanne was out of town for the first few days of our Honeymoon, but made sure to leave everything we would need, as well as an emergency contact number should we have any issue before she returned. This was actually nice for us to have the extra privacy on the first several days, and we never felt neglected as everything was ready for us. Even after Jeanne's return we hardly noticed her presence and I came to have a delightful conversation with her on the morning of our check out. Actually got a little insider scoop on the Status of the Cog Railway and Pike's Peak Summit house before reading an article published the next day covering all the details she had filled me in on. Very kind and knowledgeable host and would be happy to rent again if we find ourselves celebrating an anniversary in the future.

Hiking from the cabin was great! The Barr Trail, Incline, and Intemann Trail are all just up the hill. I hiked Red Mountain via Intemann Trail one morning for a great view of the sun rising over the town. Another day I hiked Williams Canyon on the other side of Manitou Springs and felt like I was worlds away. So much can be done within walking distance of this cottage.
