Very comfortable and very central!
Clean, comfortable, the deck at night is just so beautiful and you can walk to every where. Downtown , the beaches, the marginal way, great shopping, and Perkins Cove are all within walking distance. Park your car and forget about it. The pool is sparkling and clean and just right for cooling off or reading a book. So many wonderful paces to eat and we took a wonderful sail boat ride out of Perkins Cove. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

This cottage is an absolute marvel, well hidden from the bustle of the high street, yet conveniently located steps from the Marginal way, in a quiet, leafy residential zone, with access to a pool and tennis court.
It is our second year here and the duplex is perfectly sized for a family, the kitchen equipped with all the necessary amenities, clean, easily accessible, with two parking spots that were almost constantly used, as traveling by foot to Perkins Cove or to Ogunquit centre was a daily 15-min pleasant walk.
The owners proved incredibly helpful, accommodating our late request for two successive weeks.
Highly recommended rental spot in the heart of Ogunquit, steps from the tiny secluded rock beach that is a favorite with children of all ages!

Perfect location in Ogunquit
We had a wonderful stay at Cottage 2 at the Lookout. The condo is clean and bright and has updated fixtures. There is a lg. patio set on the front deck, which makes a nice place to sit or eat. Each room has an air conditioner. The owners were more than understanding and accommodating and responsive. My family has been renting at various units at the Lookout Resort for 22 years – this is because it is the best location. Half way to the beach and the Cove, trolley stop at the end of the street. Cottage 2 has the added benefit of being on the direct path to the Marginal Way and next to the lower parking lot. It will not disappoint you. We plan to go back next year.
My following comments are meant to be helpful from our many years of renting. YMMV depending on how you like to vacation. We had a 2 wk stay. The 1st wk there were 5 of us, the 2nd wk my husband joined. While the condo sleeps 6, it is small for 4 adults trying to maneuver around in it. This is exacerbated by the lack of storage space. There is 1 closet for all of your storage – hanging clothes, shoes, empty suitcases, bulk items, etc. We went to put our empty suitcases under the bunk bed, and found that there was already 1 there. The table in the kitchen seats 4, but you have to pull it away from the wall.
On vacation we cook 1-2 meals a day, so we found the kitchen was oddly equipped – it has a microwave, but no MW safe cookware. There was a lot of bake ware, but no measuring cups or spoons (we bought some at Reny’s and left them). A mismatched set of cordial glasses for drinking glasses. There is only one cabinet to store groceries. The fridge is large, but does not have an ice maker. We set off the fire alarm 3+ times.
Note that you’ll have to bring toilet tissue, paper towels, trash bags, dw detergent, dish soap, and coffee filters.
The bathrooms are small. Our knees touched the wall when we were on the toilet, and the shower curtain clung to us when we were in the 2’x2’ shower. There are no outlets near the mirror or over-toilet vanity.
There is 1 TV in the unit. We brought our own 2nd TV, and the owners were very patient with me getting it set up to use in the 2nd br. We found the internet spotty . When it was working, it was slow. Streaming was ok, but just browsing not great.
These things did not defer from a wonderful vacation and the great rental, just file them in the “good to know” list to make our experience even better next time.
We were very pleased with our stay at this cottage. The location is fantastic, steps from the Marginal Way and Little Beach. And having access to the property's tennis courts, playground, and pool was a big bonus for my children.

We have stayed at this property 3 of the last 4 years, and each year the owner has done something, big or small, to improve the property. The location is great if you want a quiet spot that is still amazingly close to downtown and both main and little beaches. It's a vacation condo, so it's not full of crazy amenities, but the TV, internet access and board games provide enough distraction in the event the beach is rained out.
