Overview

About the property

2Bedrooms, 2 Baths, sleeps 4 NO LAUNDRY SERVICE ON SITE

Waimanalo Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on Oahu, with

five miles of undeveloped beach, white sand, turquoise water, and

stunning views of mountains ranges and off-shore islands. You will not

believe how beautiful it is here! Mostly the length of the beach is

either state park or public-accessible military reservations, making

it one of the least populated beaches on Oahu. This is one of the only

places in Hawaii where you can get away from to tourist mania, yet

still be central to all the tourist activities on the island.

Our vacation rental is ON the beach, meaning that you can walk

straight out your door, across the yard, and onto the beach without

ever seeing a car or road. Your bedroom has a beautiful panoramic view

of the water, as well as a panoramic view of the beautiful Ko'olau

mountains on the other side. The property is a beautifully-maintained

beach home with ample amenities, modern construction, and a clean

environment. You will be comfortable, clean, and peaceful.

This unit is an independent section of the home on this beautiful

property, with some shared amenities ( outdoor, shower, walkway to the water, etc.), but for the most part it is fully

independent. THERE IS NO LAUNDRY SERVICE ON SITE (There is Waimanalo Washerette that is 4 min drive, it is a drop off laundry service that we use) It has a large upstairs section with sleeping, kitchen,

casual, and patio areas, and a downstairs large room suitable for

additional sleeping and casual needs. If you have needs for more

guests, or wish to explore a larger and more high-end rental, our full

property can also be rented.

This property is in a residential neighborhood, with only a few

vacation rental prospects in the area (with even fewer on the beach!),

so if this kind of a getaway appeals to you, we encourage you to book

a reservation immediately. This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience,

where you can experience Hawaii as people who live here like to

experience it, and it is perfect for the "off the beaten path" vacation!

Totally worth it.

  • 4 of 5

The rental was great especially the upstairs when the windows are open and the tradewinds are blowing it's so nice and relaxing. You can hear the waves crashing which was soothing. The downstairs was too hot for me even with the fans on. The washer/dryer wasn't working so I had to take it to the laundromat twice (a little inconvenient when I'm trying to enjoy my vacation), next time an update would be nice just so future renters are aware. Your rental is at the front of the property when you come in from the driveway the owner's house is at the rear which is on the beach, you'll be walking through the "courtyard" to get to the beach which is not a biggie, there is an outdoor shower with hot/cold water to rinse off which is nice. We did get to meet the owner twice and was really nice. When we had issues I just called/texted her and the owner replied promptly. The beach is amazing which is in one of the nicest and quiet part of the island. Other than that I would recommend this rental to anyone and I hope it's available the next time I come. I will never get a hotel because it doesn't have everything a rental does and you can save money by cooking at home and not eating out every day. Aloha and enjoy.

Fantastic Beach Home

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 7.5 year old daughter, and I just stayed at this great home over Spring Break. It had everything we needed and more. It is perfect for couples or a small family. The outdoor shower with hot water and all the soaps/shampoo/conditioner was a personal favorite of mine - perfect for cleaning up after swimming in the ocean. The beach location can't be beat; wide sand strip and gentle surf but enough waves for fun boogie boarding using the many boards available (along with beach chairs and other fun water toys). Inside the house everything was super clean and modern. There is also a great koi pond in the front yard that my daughter really enjoyed. We met both the owner and the housekeeper and both were so very nice and helpful. This is a real gem and we hope to stay here again in the future!

Perfect location! So relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our beach front stay at Laura’s. The location is amazing! The suite was comfortable with lots of space. We loved the trade winds (albeit extra strong while we were there). The lanai our front was awesome for meals and morning coffee, protected from the winds. Laura literally has everything you need for the beach, toys, life jackets, boards, kayaks, chairs, lots of towels, bikes, the list goes on!

My only suggestion would be a full size fridge in the suite although the exercise of running up and down the stairs to the big fridge in the garage was probably not a bad thing after all those macadamias :).

I would absolutely recommend this suite and stay again in a heartbeat! Laura is an amazing host and super accommodating. It felt just like home. We stayed a few nights in Waikiki after we left Laura’s and missed our little yellow beach house!

Wonderful Beach House!

  • 5 of 5

I love this house! Its just steps from the most gorgeous beach. There's two big bathrooms, nice little kitchen, and a nice porch to enjoy meals or just hanging out. Right by the beach is a hot water shower - so we left all the sand outside (well, most of it!). There were beach chairs and body boards and kayaks and all kinds of things to have fun with. We had parking behind a gate. The house was clean and bright. The ocean breezes were terrific and we were very comfortable. Comfy beds and furniture to lounge on. We snorkeled nearby, hiked up to some waterfalls and met some horses being ridden down the beach. We loved hanging out on what seemed like our own private beach. Sunrises were amazing! Laura and her housekeeper were friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

Relaxing.

  • 5 of 5

We (2 adults, 13 and 16 yr old) came here to have a chill time and be away from Honolulu and north Shore. The rental has a first floor bedroom (2 beds-a double and maybe a queen) and a full bath. Upstairs is like a full studio apartment w/ a king bed, full bath, kitchenette and nice balcony facing the street. Both rooms had cable tv and of course WiFi. Nice view of water from upstairs. Really nice beach (it can get windy on the "windward" side of the island). Waves were not an issue. Easy driving to Waikiki 20-40 mins and north shore an hr. We took both scenic route and not scenic way to North Shore. Tons of traffic on North Shore....tons

The house is right on beach. They have beach stuff avail for you (chairs, boogey boards, SUP, kid stuff, coolers) and some bikes to cruise around.

As one other reviewer wrote, Laura (owner) is there but not there and she is really nice and helpful. There is a little bunny they keep that wonders in the yard and my 13 yr enjoyed her.

The place is well situated for exploring the island. We did a bunch of hikes nearby including pill box hike in Kailua, lighthouse trail just south, and some water fall hike we yelped. Waimanalo has a few small places to eat which did the job and Kailua is a 15 min drive that has a lot more options, chain food places, markets, drug stores, etc. If you like Poke, in Shimas Market they have great stuff.

Overall great experience for local relaxing trip away from it all.....

Amazing location and perfect for a family

  • 5 of 5

Great and amazing location. Steps from an amazing beach with outstanding views. Great to be away from madness of Waikiki. The village is amazing with great eateries. We spend hours boogie boarding and then ate lunch at Ai love Nola. Can't beat it. We will be back soon.
