Quiet camp in the woods, on southern end of Long Pond. Something to
do in all seasons. Private dock and use of canoe are included.
The snow mobile trail goes through a section of our property.
Great sledding for kids right down driveway and beyond!
This is the quiet get-away you have been looking for.
The first floor has 2 bedrooms (one has queen size and one a full size bed), a full
bath, kitchen/living area, and small sunroom. On the second floor
are 2 more large bedrooms, one with 2 double beds and one with a
double bed and 2 twin beds. There is a bathroom with a shower
stall. There is also a wrap around porch.
We spent five nights in this cabin and absolutely loved it. It is exactly as advertised and more. It is a mile down a dirt road with zero traffic with the exception of two joggers the engineer five days we were there. It is on a beautiful part of Belgrade stream and we are already making plans for next summer.
Just visited this wonderful camp for the second time and have reserved for next year as well. The perfect spot for a bunch of girlfriends that live all over the state of Maine to meet up, relax, laugh and play a few board games and cards.
Very spacious and well stocked with anything that you would need.
Thank you Diane for making it all so easy.
This quiet place nestled in the woods of Maine was just what we needed. We have enjoyed staying here for two years in a row and hope to enjoy many more.
This was so nice to come "home" to!! Better than a sterile motel, with only beds and TV and artificial air and an ice bucket, and sharing it with my husband and mother, it was CHEAPER than a motel, too! We stayed for 4 nights and found it clean, comfortable, spacious, well-supplied (fans, paper towels and TP, iron and ironing board, gas grill, hair dryers, all the kitchen tools and even condiments in the frig, among other things), and so peaceful. Every morning, we had gorgeous views out of the big windows of trees and sky, and heard nothing but birds. It was hot, sunny weather the whole time, but fans took care of the one hot night, and the rest of the nights were down in the 50's and the house was lovely. The house has DISH now, so the TV(s) were crystal clear. (2 upstairs, too.) Very private! And, I LOVED the roads coming into it, the area is just gorgeous, I enjoyed the drive everyday. It's about 20-25 minutes to either Augusta or Waterville. We loved sitting on the porch outside, and it's a nice little walk down to the stream, which is beautiful, serene and refreshing. We didn't have a chance to use the canoe (husband just had shoulder surgery), but wish we had. This place says it sleeps 8, but we counted you could actually put 14 people in all the beds! My mother had a room downstairs with her own bath, and my husband and I slept upstairs with the other bathroom as our own. Nice! We cooked breakfast and dinner there every night in the well equipped kitchen, and ate at the big table. OH, and there's a washer and dryer down in the nice, dry basement. We heartily recommend it, and Diane was a great and accomodating hostess, easy to reach on the phone and very helpful.
We rented this camp for the weekend of Colby College's Graduation. It exceeded my expectations. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We were very happy to have a beautiful quiet "retreat" to return to between the weekends festivities. The property is very private and wished we could have spent more time exploring the area. I would most definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful time, we travelled for the Tough Mountain Challenge in Bethel (1.5 hour drive west). The cabin was clean, spacious and at a perfect location. The locals were friendly .. We can't wait to return next year! Very relaxing, loved my morning coffee on the covered porch. Weather in July was cool, mid-upper 70's and lows in the 50's. Perfect. Thanks again!!
