House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, 8 Sleeps

Historic Spanish Hacienda located near Ruth Hardy Park in the Movie

Colony area of in South Palm Springs. The home was built in 1936,

and rumored to be the guest house of a famous celebrity. Our prime

neighborhood location is out of the wind and offers spectacular

mountain views.

As soon as you walk through the stained glass front door, you feel

the warmth and soul of this classic hacienda. The brick, wood

burning fireplace in the living room is one of the many beautiful

features of the home. Each of the three bedrooms is decorated in

it's own unique theme.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including new stainless steel

appliances. French doors in every major room lead to the large,

private, 35 foot swimming pool and hot tub in the huge, freshly

landscaped backyard. Enjoy the fresh citrus from our Grapefruit,

Orange, Tangerine, and Lime trees. Dine under the stars, or in our

outdoor gazebo area.

The kitchen and all 3 bathrooms have been updated while keeping the

period charm.

The home is complete with Digital Cable TV, a Gas Barbecue,

Fireplace, Stereo with CD/DVD, Brand New Jacuzzi Premium Hot Tub,

new pool deck area, and poolside speakers. Located in the heart of

Palm Springs(OUT OF THE WIND), less than 1 mile to downtown shops,

restaurants, galleries, the convention center, and the new Spa

Casino.

landscaped with flowers, lawn and 5 productive fruit trees.

We had the best time at Villahermosa! All the girls hung out by the pool during the day, cooked great meals at night and dined outside. The home is very comfortable and we all loved the decor. The weather at night was warm and cozy. We didn't leave the property all weekend! Felt like we had been on vacation for a week! Thank you!

Plenty of room for gathering, pool was the main feature (ended up paying more for pool heating than expected), and the house is in a great area for walking and getting to main points in Palm Springs. The house itself is older and in need of work and cleaning, as are the grounds. If you like to cook, the kitchen particularly is in need of major updating and renovation. In comparison to other properties we have rented in this area this home was fine for our purposes, but not to the level of what we have found in the past.

Owner's Response: The home is one of the original homes in Palm Springs, built in 1937. Most of our guests are repeat guests for several years. They appreciate the charm and historic quality of the property.

This beautiful villa was perfect for me and my seven best friends to catch up and enjoy time together. We lazed at the pool and hottub, walked around the neighborhood toward the mountains. Even picked some lemons off the tree for drinks!

My family and I

This is the second year we have stayed at this beautiful vacation home. It is very comfortable and a great place to bring family! We had a fabulous time here with our kids and grand kids! Lots of pool toys and a spacious out door area. It was nice to bar b Que. and eat at the big table out side. There is a jacuzzi as well although it wasn't working when we were there.

We hope to return again next year. Thank you Angie!

Villa Hermosa

The layout of this house is great, especially if you are staying in the master bedroom, where there are french doors leading to the beautiful pool area. This is where we spent most of our time. The decor in the house gave it an arty feel without being pretentious. It was cozy and home-y. Unfortunately the hot tub didn't work for us, but the owner worked quickly to try and get it repaired. I would stay here again. Take note to look closely at your contract. Ours stated that we had to check out by 11, but I didn't remember that and we had to rush out.

Owner's Response: Thanks Angelica. I hope you enjoyed your birthday! The hot tub had a bad fuse, unfortunately we weren't able to get it repaired by the time your group left. The fuse was immediately replaced and up and running for the next group. Hope to have you and your family back soon!

Great getaway for a long weekend or a month.

Wonderfully eclectic furnishings and art work. There were lovely groupings of chairs and tables scattered around the grounds including a fire pit. The pool and hot tub were a perfect temperature. Everything was clean and in working order. The beds were very comfortable. A wonderful suprise was the beaufitul fresh grapefruits, oranges, limes and lemons grown on several trees just outside the back door. Freshed squeezed OJ every morning. Minutes from airport and minutes to Palm Canyon Drive for shopping and amazing restaurants. Golf and Casino's plentiful.
