Welcome to 'The Gallery!' One visit and we know you will agree that The Gallery is a perfect getaway for a couple's or friends' retreat. 'A destination unto itself' as one of our guests best summarizes (see our online guestbook link below). Park your vehicle and take a short stroll to fabulous restaurants, shopping, art galleries, museums, dance clubs, pubs, cafes, day spas, historic tours, Screen Gem Film studio tours, live theater, and other local attractions -it's all within walking distance (some destinations even on the same block as The Gallery)! Or better yet, sit back, relax and enjoy the Trolley or the Historic Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride Tour - it's just a half-block down Market Street.

The Gallery is located at 112 Market Street in the heart of Wilmington's beautiful and nostalgic riverfront Historic District one short block away from the riverfront!

'The Gallery' is a fabulous, designer decorated, two-story 'Manhattan style loft' condo. Beautiful exposed brick walls can be found in the living room, bedroom, and bathroom; all refinished hardwood floors; new contemporary Scandinavian furniture/furnishings; an expansive collection of modern art displayed in every room; and wonderful color throughout! 'Lots of style and energy' as one of our guests describes (see our guests' comments link below).

The second floor bedroom is beautifully decorated and has a very comfortable, queen-size bed, full-size dresser w/mirror, Sony CD/radio/alarm clock. The luxurious livingroom leather sofa has a queen-size pullout. Fine linens are provided for both the queen bed and queen-size sleeper. The Gallery is very well equipped with the vacation and business traveler in mind (FREE WIFI). See our 'amenities' section below for a full description of all that The Gallery has to offer.

Spend the day at Wrightsville Beach (just minutes away) or Bald Head Island and return to 'The Gallery' to explore the southern charm of historic Wilmington in the evening. And remember, everything is within walking distance if it's a late night! We will be more than happy to make some restaurant, cafe, sight-seeing, etc. recommendations, just let us know - we definitely have some favorites that we would love to introduce you to!!!

Why Liz Mark chose Wilmington

We fell in love with historic, riverfront Wilmington and were spending so many weekends there that we decided to find a place of our own. The beauty and nostalgia of the area combined with the friendliness of the locals is what drew us and continues to draw us to Wilmington. Location was paramount in our search for our vacation spot in Wilmington. We wanted to be able to walk to everything and we finally found a condo that met that important criteria. It took some time to renovate, but was well worth it to be in the heart of historic Wilmington.

Great Place! Great Location!

Our family of 3 had a great stay in Wilmington. This was our second time staying at The Gallery and I would definitely recommend it. It is a great place to stay ... right up the street from the river front, and Kilwins : ) We enjoyed the easy ride to Wrightsville Beach and just walking around the shops in Wilmington, and the restaurants on the river. It was a perfect weekend getaway!

Great condo right in the heart of town

Our first trip to Wilmington and it was wonderful. The Gallery is a great location in the historic downtown area and we enjoyed the restaurants and shops in and around the downtown. If I had anything negative to say it would be the parking situation on weekend evenings when people come in to town to drink and play.

Super cute condo in great location

We booked The Gallery for the 4th of July and loved it. The location was perfect for walking around downtown and exploring. There are many great restaurants just steps away and the River front is right there! If you are going to see the fireworks you can see the tall ones from the doorstep, or walk a few steps to get the whole show in view. We brought our 9 month old baby along and it was perfect for our tiny family. We had plenty of room in the bedroom for his pack & play and the walk-ability of The Gallery meant we could stop back in to put him down for naps as needed. The Gallery is not child-proofed with the large stairs, but it wasn't an issue for us with our mobile baby. He was happy playing on the living room floor with the toys we brought for him and crawling in the kitchen.

The only cons for us were the WiFi and the noise from nearby bars. The night of the 4th was the only night the noise really bothered us. We luckily play a white noise machine for the baby, which helped muffle it some. We were never able to get our devices to hook up to the WiFi and had to rely on our phone data to work/use internet during the baby's naps. Bar noise can't be changed and it wasn't super loud. So the only improvement would be better WiFi for The Gallery itself. If we didn't have to be at the condo so frequently for nap time we likely wouldn't have even noticed.

Owner's Response: Samantha, I am so glad you all enjoyed your stay! Not sure why the WiFi didn't work for you. I did check on that with the next guests and they said they just unplugged it from the outlet and plugged it back in and it worked fine. Yes, it can be a little noisy during holiday weekends and that is the main reason why we chose a condo at the back of the building and not street-side. We hope you can plan another visit soon! Perfect location and adorable artsy condo

This was our first time seeing Wilmington and we really enjoyed. Granddaddy was turning 90 so my husband, myself, son and daughter-in-law made this our home for a couple days. What a great choice! We loved the convenience of restaurants, the river and just the city in general. The condo is very artsy with bright colors which makes it cheerful and fun. We arrived to a clean place with everything in order. The instructions we were given were very exact and found it right away. We had a car and parking right around the corner was just a few steps away and only $8 for 24 hrs which is a good deal for city parking. We got a three day pass which worked perfect. The building was very quiet and you would never know you were right downtown. Brick walls and original hardwood flooring made this place special. We didn't cook but the kitchen had sufficient supplies for anyone so inclined. We have rented many places all over the country with VRBO and would come back in a minute when we visit Wilmington again. You really don't need a car if your time is downtown. We visited the North Carolina Navy Ship and would highly recommend this attraction. We only allowed 2 hrs and could have spent another hour easily. So interesting to this non military family. Great location, perfect place to stay!

We stayed here for a girls weekend and had a blast. The Gallery is in a perfect location, right next to stores, restaurants, bars and clubs, museums, etc. Walking distance to most places (except the beach of course and that's only about 15 minutes). Parking was easy across the street, and $1 an hour with a max of $8 for a 24 hour period. The bed and pillows were comfortable, pretty quiet, we didn't hear any neighbors just a little music from outside but it wasn't loud by any means. Tons of movies, everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of towels. I pretty much felt like I was visiting someones home and not a rental property. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect location!

The Gallery is perfectly located in the heart of historic Wilmington, just steps away from everywhere you want to be. Our visit was smooth and business-like on every level - great instructions for getting in and out, and the space itself is well-equipped and fun. We will definitely check to see if the Gallery is available next time we come to town.
