Another Great Time

  • 5 of 5

This was the 2nd time of renting this home. It was just like the previous time - comfortable, clean, well kept. The owner is wonderful and makes sure all your questions and any concerns are met. We look forward to renting again in the future, the next time we are in Whidbey.

Perfect !

  • 5 of 5

We had a family Christmas here. It was a wonderful experience. The house is beautiful with everything we needed. The sunroom overlooking Pugent sound is great. The house was clean, spacious and in a quiet area.

I would highly recommend this rental to everyone.

Roomy, Comfortable with a View

  • 5 of 5

Even though we had rainy weather and power outages on the island during our stay

this was an absolutely perfect accommodation! It was very clean and comfortable with

everything to enjoy days spent indoors or outside touring the island. Conveniently located

close to the Mukilteo ferry and perched on a hillside overlooking Puget Sound it was a quiet retreat with peaceful uplifting views. The landlord was very helpful and provided everything

that was needed for a great stay. We will be back!

Simply family home with great views of the Sound.

  • 4 of 5

Our stay lasted 7 days at the end of June. This property is nicely located only 5-10 minutes from the Clinton ferry. The owner's description is very accurate. Expect some normal wear and tear of the house's amenities, as this home is well lived-in. We had no trouble getting settled, and found the location to be quiet and comfortable. Drink your locally made coffee in the morning or locally brewed wine and beer in the evening in the sun-room, as the view of the Sound is unreal. My whole family, including my 2 year old daughter, passed at least an hour each night watching the ferry lights pass back and forth. This location is great for people who want to spend time on the island, but might make a trip or two into Seattle, then come home and unwind. Wildlife is in abundance in the area. The local deer population is sure to stop by and say hello on their way to eat from the various fruit trees that grow nearby. Many varieties of birds can be seen from the front deck, including the bald-eagles that call the area home.

Activities on Whidbey are varied and numerous. Fort Casey is well worth a visit, and public beaches are all over the place, (our favorite was Deception Pass State Park at the north end of the island.) The community of Clinton doesn't offer much in the way of restaurants, but its only a short drive up the road to some great spots. The Whidbey Coffee Co. shack up the road was my choice for morning-mud, and just a bit further along is Joe's Wood-Fired pizza, my son's restaurant of choice. For good seafood, Seabolt's in Oak Harbor has a great selection, (get the bowl of mixed-shells.)

I would recommend this particular house for small (4-5 person) families, or multiple couples who don't mind sharing some living space.

The owner was very quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns. We did not need to contact him during our stay, but I would fully expect him to respond very quickly.

I have very little to say about this rental in a negative light. The outside of the house, (landscaping and such) could use a little work just for aesthetics, but it isn't messy enough to detract from our enjoyment. Few complaints about the interior of the house, either. The shower stall could use a bit of tlc, as some of the caulking around the door has begun to rot. Also, the personal computer available at the house is inoperable.

Overall, our stay was great and we plan to return.

Great House

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time, at this home. The owner is very nice and willing to take care of whatever is needed. The view is fantastic and the home very comfortable. It is well located to anything you might need and only minutes to the ferry, going to Mukilteo. We had children with us, who loved the house, as much as we did. It is quiet, peaceful and everything you need in a home. We look forward to renting it again.
