Love it;

We love this cabin. It was extremely well maintained and very clean. The minute that you walk in the door it feels warm and cozy. Fishing was good. Caught 25 bluegills, all around 10 inches. Tho place is great for children ( I have a 5 and 3 year old). They can't wait to go back next year!

Pine Lake Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our annual family fishing vacation made several wonderful memories at your Pine Lake Getaway! Your caretakers greeted us & made us feel like we were right at home! The day we arrived we ate at Hotel Crandon in Crandon, about five to six miles away which was delicious & reasonably priced. We bought groceries at IGA in Crandon and gas at Exon Mobile, too! Your house was well stocked with everything we needed for our family meals. We liked the circle driveway and entire layout of the house, deck, fire pit, yard, and lake frontage with a gradual slope to the sandy beach and dock. We brought our own fishing boat and the boat launch wasn't far from the house. We didn't take the boat out since we were catching smallmouth bass, crappies, blue gill, perch, & northerns in Pine Lake. We managed to have two fish fries since we caught alot of fish! We would have spent more time outside; but the mosquitos ate us alive! Since it rained while we were there, we had a couple days of 61 and 64 degrees for a high and only a few of us went swimming the day before we left! We hope to some day to return to make more memories! This is a great place to bring a family! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Pine Lake Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the cabin! We checked out a map before coming and did not have any problems finding the cabin (you will want to know which fire number you are looking for). The cabin was very clean and comfortable and contained everything we needed. The yard is very nice and the blue gill fishing was great! This is a great place to bring a family - we would return again without a doubt. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Owner's Response: The cottage address is Hiles, WI; however, sometimes GPSs recognize it as Argonne, WI. So far, we have not had a lot of confusion as we try to provide clear directions throughout the reservation/check-in process. We work hard to keep the cottage clean and comfortable; we want it to feel like a personal resort! The fish, bluegills especially, love to swim around the dock and they are always hungry for a big fat worm! Great fishing for the little ones that don't have the patience fishing sometimes requires. We love to receive pictures and stories of fish caught while at the Pine Lake Cottage!

Great Northwoods Home

  • 5 of 5

Our two families have been vacationing together for several years and both couples were quite comfortable in this Pine Lake home. Everything was clean and comfortable. We felt right at home rather than intruding on someone's uncomfortably fancy designer retreat. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and play games, watch TV, read, fish, lounge in the sun or enjoy the deck or campfire. The area provided good places to eat (Tricia's Bistro in Crandon) and places to explore. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, and appliances we needed for home-cooked meals. The lack of Internet was a little disappointing, but letting go of the computer world is a good thing to do on vacation so we connect more with each other. In addition, it was easy to find Internet at a nearby cafe/bar or in nearby Crandon. We brought up our own boat and the boat launch was near by and there was an easily accessible pier at the house. Mosquitoes were too plentiful, but local folks said it was an unusual summer for this many insects. We would heartily recommend this location for a family vacation!

Owner's Response: We have so many couples and families that have enjoyed our property. We love hearing about all the great times and memories created! Our property has become quite popular over the years, so be sure to inquire early for next year (a lot of our weeks are booked a year in advance!!--Thank you). Have a wonderful summer!

Pine Lake Cabin

Location and yard was very nice. House was good but the 4th bedroom is

just a bed in the basement with one very loud dehumidifier. Kithen is small.

The description says no pets but as we were cleaning there are pee and poop

stains on back of rugs(probably why my allergies were going crazy).

Also we were given the wrong address, called Tammy but never heard back from

her. So we wasted almost 2 hours trying to figure out which house it was.

All said we would stay here again if it was truly a no pet rental.

Owner's Response: Hi Dee, We strive to provide a relaxing and enjoyable environment to our guests. Your feedback allows us to continue to do so. We take pride in our spacious, green yard and amenities, so we are glad you like them. The fourth bedroom is located in the lower level. It is a pine log Queen size bedroom set complete with night stand, lamp, alarm clock/radio, and dresser surrounded by a carpeted area. Every year, we take on a new project to improve or expand the property. We recently added the fourth bedroom; it is a work in progress to completely finish the full basement. (Check back for progress updates!) This property is a no pets property; however, our policy is only as good as those who respect it. The rugs you refer to in your comment are actually kitchen stains on the backs. Those rugs were moved to the patio and laundry area since updating the kitchen rugs. Since the majority of the cottage is true hardwood flooring, we try to keep as many rugs around as possible since sand and grit are always being tracked in. However, since you perceived the stains as pet stains, we will likely be replacing them as we do not want others to assume the same. As for the wrong address, I am not sure where this is coming from since the address is clearly stated on the contract and the fire number is highly visible at the driveway entrance. Regardless, we apologize for any inconvenience. Cell phone reception is very spotty in the north woods making communication difficult. Thank you again for your constructive feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to the opportunity to host you and yours again in the future!
