Perfect family getaway!

  • 4 of 5

The lake house was perfect for our family, Hans has gone beyond expectations to provide everything you could need. The weather was rainy the all 3 days we were there, but with all the indoor activities we still had a blast. We will be back next year!! Thanks Hans!

Great Family Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The Lake Louise Getaway was a great little family vacation. We stayed a week with 4 adults and 4 children and the property, amenities and house served our needs perfectly. There is no reason to be bored at a place like this, everything you need to have fun is included! The area was quiet and Gaylord is just a 15 minute drive away if you need anything. The lake didn't hold any "worthwhile" fish, but the kids had fun trying. Only minor complaint I had is that the house could use some updating and a bit of TLC... Other than that, we all did just fine with what was provided and really enjoyed our stay! Thanks Hans!

Relaxing and peaceful!

The LLG was amazing. It had everything we needed. We used the kayaks and the paddleboat. We went fishing and swimming. We played pool and had bonfires. We never wanted to leave. Thank you, Hans, for such a great experience!

Great Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

A Fantastic week away for our family of 10 consisting of mom, dad and 8 children ranging in ages from 3-17. There was something there for everyone to enjoy from boating to swimming to playing quiet games inside. The owner has thought of all the little things that you may need from boats to books and games to sand toys to a clothes line for drying masses of swimsuits and towels. Clean with comfortable beds and plenty for all ages.

Yard was huge but needed mowing when we arrived. Garage could be cleaned up a bit

  • 4 of 5

The house served our purpose. Very spacious except for front bedroom across from master, but still useful. Downstairs very nice. Deck needs treatment and stairs get your attention. No dishwasher a hassle but workable. Other appliances very nice. Only a couple of items missing in kitchen-veggie steamer, large pot. Dining table set is awesome. Living room very roomy with great view (dining area too). Could use another shower although wait time required between usage due to inadequate septic system renders that issue moot. Downstairs game room is nice. Darts are mostly broken. Grill is older model and propane was empty because tank valve was left on and control knobs were in on position. Smelled gas when we arrived. Still worked properly.

Little kids really enjoyed the beach especially the castle playhouse and slide. Some boating done but not as much as would've liked, as with horseshoes. Our fault. Set up our croquet set but lawn was too long to play. Laundry line is very nice to have although we didn't use it

much. Privacy provided by surrounding woods was fantastic. Not much to look at when you pull up but doesn't do house justice. Very enjoyable. Some wildlife. Smaller lake but still fun.

Owner's Response: I wish you would have contacted me when you arrived and were unhappy with the lawn. I would have been able to have my maintenance man come by and take care of it while you were there. It is very difficult to get the lawn just right as the only time available to cut when renters will not be inconvenienced is on Saturday's from 10-4. Complaining after the fact doesn't help either of us! And I must disagree about the septic system being "inadequate" as it is standard practice with a septic to time showers 30 minutes apart. Although, with the low-flow shower head that has been installed, this is no longer a requirement simply a suggestion. I will update the signs at the cottage.
