Private balcony with great ocean views accessible from living room

and master bedroom.

Fully equipped kitchen including all plates, utensils, cookware, glasses.

Why David Dondero chose Topsail Island

Beautiful and comfortable condo with easy first floor access. Only 50 feet from the dunes and the boardwalk out to the beach. An outdoor shower is located on the boardwalk for getting rid of the sand and salt when returning from the beach. There is a lot of sandy beach in front of our buildings, and the waves are normally gentle and safe for children.

What makes this condo unique

Reasonably priced. Well appointed and maintained condo with great views and quick access to the beach and ocean. First floor via stairs or ramp.

Washer - Dryer - Cable TV - VCR - DVD - Microwave - Private Balcony - Entrance is handicaped accessible to a degree. Common area features: BBQ Grill area - Tennis Courts - Large Pool - Cabana - Boardwalk. Outdoor shower between condominium and beach. The number one feature is still the miles of white sandy beaches, temperate ocean waters with gentle rolling waves, and the chance to commune with nature in peace and quiet. Sea Turtle hatching is an interesting occurence if you happen to be there at the right time of year. Large (usually about 50 feet or so to the waters edge) beach. Usually very safe for children bathing with some adult supervision always recommended.

Good Location-Decent condition of property.

Arrived to find that AC not working, had been reported, but repairmen were not to arrive until the day we left. When informed the owner offered to return money paid, but that would mean more money spent until we received refund. So here we are, a party of six after a 4 hour plus trip; do we look for another place or stay? We stayed and the last two days were more bearable. Had we been informed prior to arriving that the AC was not working, we would have searched for another place. The owner had my contact information, but chose not to let me know. That one shortcoming put a damper on our vacation.

Lesson learned: when you go early in the season, get owner to confirm that everything is up to par after the winter. Disappointed, because otherwise would have been great.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately the condo, which had been in almost continuous use since Jan. 1st., did not require any air conditioning up to the time of arrival of this tenant. When they arrived in the late afternoon and found the a/c not functional, they called me and I called the repair person. He came the next morning and repaired the unit under the building. I had no way of knowing prior to their arrival that a problem existed.

Beautiful view

Our family had a great time! We had easy access to the beach. We loved that the area was not crowded at all for spring break. The condo was comfortable and convenient for our family of 5. We spent a lot of time sitting on the beach, making family meals, and watching the sun rise and set on the porch. Great value!

Great Place!

Delightful vacation spot

This is a delightful retreat at the best beach there is! David Dondero was MORE than helpful and co-operative in the booking! The condo is tastefully decorated, beautiful color schemes, clean and well appointed in every way. Our week in September included lots of "weather" which was a delight to watch from the porch or from inside if there was too much weather. Enjoyed days of sunshine, too. Topsail Island has been a favorite of our family for years and we are delighted to find such comfortable accommodations. Thank you, David and Peggy, for sharing this great condo that's just a hop, skip and jump from the beach! We plan to be back!

We cannot review this property as the day before our vacation he called and it seems this condo had been double booked and he arranged for us to have condo 3213 in the same bldg. 3213 was very nice with a beautiful view of the ocean and overlooking the pool. We had a very enjoyable week and would definitely stay at Topsail Dunes again

I took it on myself to call a friend who also has a rental and arranged for this couple to have their condo at the same amount as mine (a reduction from their normal rate). David

Great Location but needs a major cleaning

The location of the condo was great! First floor, easy access to the pool and beach which made it very nice.

Unfortunately, upon arrival the condo was dirty.

The bathrooms had mold on the shower fixtures, hard water stains (which I can understand), and hair in the shower drain. The bathroom with a tub, the stopper to retain water had a screw missing and mold all under neath that fixture. I had to send my husband out immediately for cleaning products and a scrub brush. I cleaned both bathrooms and a good bit of mold came up other than the ones directly in the fixture. The kitchen sink and the faucet was moldy and dirty and that wiped right up.

The carpets were dirty, and the tile floors were dirty. In all corners and crevices is inches of dirt and dust. Heavy dust on the fan fixtures.

There were ants in the kitchen, however there were ant traps placed out when we arrived. We did our best to keep all food sealed tight and didn't seem to have a problem with ants getting in our food.

The location and the property is great. It is not my ideal vacation to come and immediately have to clean. I can take in-to account that its the beach however I was charged a cleaning fee. I don't want to see previous hair left in the drain from other guests or basic shower mold, or kitchen grime that can easily be removed with cleaner and a scrub brush.

I did email the owner, I have not heard back. My first inclination would be to check with the cleaning company to ensure they are properly cleaning. I do have pictures from my stay related to the cleanliness. I would have liked to have received a discount due to the overall condition of the property.

The beach was great! The pool was nice! This condo could receive a 5 due to the location and easy access. The area was also very safe and other people in the area were very friendly and safe as well along with easy parking access. For that reason, this condo could have received a 5. There were directions to have a parking pass and pool tags. I never was able to locate a parking pass but that did not seem to be an issue. One of the pool tags was broke and tied in a knot on arrival. nobody seemed to check for them.

All it would take is a renovation=replace the carpet, heavy duty clean the tile floors, replace bath fixtures. Have the cleaning company do a major clean/steam clean of the property professionally.

You have to bring all linens, sheets, towels, and kitchen towels, scrub brushes, soap, toilet paper, paper towel

Owner's Response: Unfortunately we had a substitute cleaning person doing the work for several weeks without our knowledge. All conditions were fixed during the third week in August except for the carpets were are scheduled for replacement in the off-season. As the amenities list notes, the tenant is responsible for linens, towels and paper products.
