About Edward Lawrence

Live in South Florida and love the beach! But love the mountains almost more!

Edward Lawrence purchased this cabin in 2003

Why Edward Lawrence chose Maggie Valley/Waynesville Area

Honeymooned on the same mountain 20 years ago. Enjoyed times with friends and family after our first visit and fell in love with the area. We decided to buy a piece of heaven when our second daughter was born.

What makes this cabin unique

Total privacy. Beautiful view. Clean and cozy. With 40 minutes of rafting, horseback riding, tubing, skiing, hiking, & Downtown Asheville.

Not a Nice Time

  • 1 of 5

This home was nothing as advertised. The Outside looked like the pictures. The inside was quite dirty, many many cobwebs, several live spiders. Very Dusty and grimy. I have many pictures of me writing Hi in the dust. The towels were threadbare and stained. The washer malfunctioned and we thought we were never going to get our clothes out. Since they have been using WD40 on the freezer fan to keep it from squealing (it was on top of the fridge) the ice we bought smelled like WD40, and so did most of our leftovers we brought back. Both storm doors were busted and broken. So no enjoying the view through them. In the second bedroom there was just a bare lightbulb. Not a good choice... after taxes and "cleaning" fee and the new VRBO fee, we were out almost $1000.00. The cleaning supplies were a joke, the broom only had half the bristles, and the two floor dusters were filthy. Just say NO to this one!! I could go on, but why?
