Other hotel and condo complexes on the island APPEAR to have a beach location but many of them require that you CROSS AN EXTREMELY BUSY 4 LANE ROAD (Seawall Blvd) to get to the water. Our complex is RIGHT ON THE BEACH. You will NOT HAVE TO CROSS A MAJOR ROADWAY OR TAKE YOUR CAR to enjoy the surf!
Just minutes from golf, great restaurants and maritime antique
shopping along the Strand, SeaScape Condominiums is as close to
downtown as you can get yet still has the beach location. A short
drive takes you to NASA, the Johnson Space Center, Kemah and the
Boardwalk! Galveston Mardi Gras, Dickens on the Strand and other

Our family enjoyed a weekend getaway at Galveston. Highlights of the condo include first and foremost not having to cross Seawall Blvd every time you want to walk on the beach. Condo is priced very nice for this location with private access to the beach. Condo is simple and clean, not too far from restaurants and shops. Nice view of gulf. Complex is clean and very nice. Owner was very, very prompt with email communication. Complex has office for check in and makes place feel extra secure.

Awesome condo that we can't wait to rent again. The condo complex was newly built and VERY clean plus the had security when you pulled in. That's one of the main things for me,the place had to be clean. There is also a pool and hot tub in the middle of the condos so the kids got the best of both worlds. The prices was very reasonable too. The beach was private and very clean. The condo we rented sleeps 6 has a full size bath and a fully equipped kitchen. Our little condo was perfect for our family. I was thoroughly impressed!

We would recommend for small family or couple. Did not get to use the pool or hot tub because of time. We really liked that you did not have to cross over the street to get to the Beach!
Great clean condo. Went for Memorial Weekend. We normally stay at the San Luis resort, however we couldn't stay the whole 3 days. They were only booking if we stayed the 3 days.First time renting a condo. This one was on the beach with a balcony view on the side looking out at the beach and ocean. We loved that there were no crowds on our portion of the beach. We didn't have to fight traffic.Quite and very clean. The condo was well stocked and very very clean. Smelled like a new model home. My family and I will return soon, Hopefully for a longer stay. Loved waking up and sitting on the balcony with the sunrise and ocean sound.
Weekend in Galvestion
My husband and I were pleased with the overall with The Seascape Condominium property. The grounds appeared to be free of trash and litter. I would say that the railings on the deck and all of the trim in the complex was in desperate need of painting. There were areas of trim that look rusted. The office staff was very helpful and very friendly. We would definitely return for another visit in the future.
New year's getaway
Even before our arrival, we had a very positive impression of what our experience would be like. The owner was very quick to respond to all of our inquiries and made planning our stay quite easy. We had some difficulty with the rental agency, however, regarding some details of our reservation. Apart from this, there were no problems. The staff here proved to be very efficient in other cases - the can opener in the unit was broken, and they replaced it with a new one within a couple of hours. They were very willing to help.
The unit is very cozy and functional. There were two of us staying here, and we had more than enough space. The bedroom is small but comfortable, with a good-sized bed and closet for storage. Everything in the unit is labeled and some basic amenities were provided (such as dish soap and toilet paper), which was a really nice touch. Everything has been really well thought out, and there is a great attention to detail in decor and items provided for use. We felt very much at home!
The large balcony overlooks the beach, and you can hear the waves coming in from the living/kitchen area. Unfortunately, the weather has not been in our favor in terms of enjoying the beachfront location!
Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay here. Just one problem - the bathroom door does not close completely (probably due to humidity - this can be fixed).
Week stay in October
This unit is exactly as advertised: clean, ready for occupancy and a good view of the gulf. Some reviewers have complained about having a RV park next door but we found it interesting to watch them come and go as it is limited to transients only. Additionally it is only about one third of the total view from a nice sized balcony.
The unit is very adequately stocked with dishes and utensils, the king size bed was very comfortable but the bedroom was too small for it. You can get around it but it is close to the walls. This is not a deal breaker, just be aware of it.
We had read that the staff was not friendly but we found just the opposite; perhaps they, like most of us, return smiles when they receive them. The grounds were well kept and the pool looked inviting although we did not use it.
The only negative items were: we were unable to open the dish washer, the bottom of the bathtub was very slick, there was no cover on the electric outlet behind the bed and the pricing. We didn't come to Galveston to cook so being unable to use the dishwasher was not a problem. We bought a tub mat at Walmart and took care of the tub.
As for pricing, the initial on line advertisements show only what the owner charges, not what you are going to pay and does not include a multitude of additional charges. We expected tax would be added but the total, including tax was almost 40 percent higher. We were given the total, including add ons, when we made the reservation, but it should be clearly shown in the website.
Will we return? You betcha!
