This Sandpiper Palm Desert condo is a single level, 1,800 square feet, three
bedrooms, two baths. We are centrally located on large grounds at the corner of El Paseo and Hwy 74.
As an architectural landmark, the Sandpiper Condominiums take you back in time with a very
modern feel. Our condo has a very comfortable feel, while preserving the original architect.
Sandpiper is one of best locations in Palm Desert. This home is extremely clean and comfortable and
you can make it home away from home. This unit has 12' ceilings, very nice floor plan, nice view of
pool and surrounding mountains.
I have been going to Palm Desert for the eight years-renting at different condominiums-and this was by far one of the best places I have stayed! The location is in walking distance to El Paseo which is great for taking a break from the pool to go to The Daily Grill for lunch or do some shopping at the multitude of stores on the strip. It is also very close to some of the hiking that Palm Desert has to offer, including the hike to the cross that you can see from the complex lit up on the hill at night time. The complex is a pod type format with multiple units in the shape of a hexagon with a central pool area. The pool area has an outdoor kitchen area, including fridge, loungers, shuffleboard and a small putting green. All of the residents in our complex have owned units for many years and were very friendly and welcoming to us during our stay. The unit itself has a large indoor courtyard with tables and chairs for eating dinner that offers privacy for those who would like that. I used the outdoor furniture on the back deck which overlooked the pool. The bedrooms were set up in a way that is great for a family with children. The master bedroom is spacious and on one side of the condo and two addition bedrooms are located down a different hallways with a door that closes it off from the living room. This is great if visitors had children who required naps or adult who use their vacation to catch up on some much needed sleep. The kitchen was well appointed with all the cooking tools, plates and cutlery you would need during your stay. The condo furniture and bedding has not been updated in quite some time but it was all quite comfy. Overall, this condo is the best value vacation home I have stayed at in the valley and I would highly recommend it!
We, two 55+ couples, spent 8 days in late January 2015 at this beautiful rental home. The home is very spacious, both living as well as sleeping quarters. It is clean and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well stocked. Wifi works without a hitch. The bedrooms and bathrooms are at opposite ends of the unit, providing a great deal of privacy. The two main bedrooms look out into the private courtyard. This courtyard is furnished with patio furniture, making it convenient to dine outside in a private setting. The third bedroom faces the pool area. Free covered parking is right behind the unit.
The living room and large patio are facing the beautifully landscaped, park-like central area with the swimming pool. This area is surrounded by 8 duplexes, 16 units similar to this condo, but set at different levels and at various angles to maintain a reasonable degree of privacy for each unit. And this 16-unit "pod" is only one of 18 similar pods. Sandpiper is a very large development but at a pleasant scale, wherever you are. This was our third stay at Sandpiper (different units each time, due to our late bookings) and we would certainly return again to this condo. That said, I think that no matter which unit, you cannot go wrong with renting in Sandpiper. The location is ideal, even for those who do not have a car. Walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, banks etc. And pre-rental communication with the owner was excellent.

to EVERYTHING. Best vacation we've ever had in Palm Desert. We will ask for this same unit in the future. Did I say the weather was superb?????
This condo is very centrally located and an easy walk down El Paseo. It was very spacious and clean. The owner if very helpful with anything that we needed. The two bedrooms are located on two different ends of the unit and are very private. The only problem we had was that the sliding glass doors were pretty hard to operate. I'm sure that could be remedied pretty easily. The kitchen is well equipped and there are televisions in the bedrooms and a big screen television in the livingroom.
