Our Pacific Penthouse, unit F-305, puts you on the beach closer to your “California Dream” than any five-star hotel. North Coast Village Complex sits directly on the sand. Unit has full ocean, beach and harbor views. Unit F-305 is located very conveniently to all amenities and is just steps to the beach and the resort-style heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, BBQ grills, laundry and reserved parking.

The views from the first-floor balcony and second floor roof-top deck are of the sandy beach, the Blue Pacific Ocean and the quaint Oceanside Harbor and Marina.

You'll see surfers, dolphins, kayakers and sailors in the waves by day. After a stunning sun-dipping sunset you can enjoy the “Harbor lights”.

The first-floor features an open kitchen, a comfortable

great room with a gas fireplace , queen size sofa bed, 40' flat screen TV and a balcony with a sweeping view of the ocean and Oceanside's marina.

Upstairs master suite has a California King bed, walk-in closet, 27' TV and bathtub/shower combination. This level has an expansive sun deck for lounging and eating with table, chairs, umbrella and a million dollar view. Watch the surfers, the dolphins, the sailboats and the diving pelicans from your perch above the trees.

You can tan in the relative privacy of your own roof-top deck.

Downstairs bedroom offers a queen and twin bed with TV and bathtub/shower combination.

Use either of two pools (one Olympic sized and one family sized) and two hot tubs as well as our fitness center and sauna. Laundry facilities are available in each building. The lush grounds will inspire you to stroll among our flowered pathways and koi-filled streams and ponds. If you love beachcombing, you can walk south for miles- stopping off at the Oceanside pier to watch the fishing (no license is required for fishing from the pier) and drop in for a malt at Ruby's Dine at the end of the pier. If you walk one block north, across the lagoon you're at the marina, with quaint shops, delicious seafood restaurants, harbor tours and boat rentals. The local seals are always giving a free show too! If you feel you must leave the beach, we are centrally located among many internationally famous attractions. Just past the marina is the easy entrance to I-5. Take it north to Disneyland, California's Adventure, Hollywood, Universal Studios, Pasadena---all within easy driving to return in the evening. Take the freeway south to Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, Old Town and all the shopping on the way. (Carlsbad Outlet Mall will inspire you to shop ‘til you drop) If you travel east you can visit the Wild Animal Park in Escondido, wine country tours and tastings in Temecula, and lots of Indian gambling casinos in Pala. Even if you can stay a month, you won't be able to do it all— and you'll want to come back again and again. Our condo is fully equipped, just bring your clothes and your camera. A wonderful beach condo!

I have stayed in this condo twice now. It is a comfortable condo with a wonderful view of the harbor and the beach. We loved the upstairs open bedroom and huge top patio. North Coast Village in itself is a beautiful place to stay. The facilities and workers on the grounds were wonderful! It's the perfect location, too - a brief walk to the harbor or downtown. I will say it could use some updates on the carpet, furniture, and decorations. Also, the downstairs beds aren't too comfortable. But nothing to keep us from coming back!

We, my husband, our daughter, her husband & our 2 grandkids stayed the week after the 4th of July. This was one of our favorite vacations. We really enjoyed the condo. The grounds were beautiful. Being so close to the beach was great! We were pleased with the condo. It was spacious enough for all of us. My husband especially enjoyed the balcony on the second floor! Beautiful views! Check-in was very easy. The fish and chips restaurant in the harbor is great! We'll be back!

It was a great vacation

The property was beautiful and tropical. Upon arriving at the condo, there was a smell that we could not pinpoint. We called the owners and it was taken care of immediately (just a garbage disposal issue). The service was prompt! I took a group of 5 girl scouts and the space worked out for us so perfectly. There was every amenity that we needed at the condo and the views from the decks were amazing!!! Although the days were a bit gloomy, the pool was very warm, so the girls spent a good amount of time there. The only downfall I could see if it had been hot was that there was no air conditioning in the unit, but fans were provided. Luckily, we had no hot days. It is wonderfully close to the pier and the shops and bike rentals under the pier. Ruby's diner was really cool with great desserts. There is also a small shopping center a few blocks down with a movie theater and 4 different restaurants to choose from so that everyone can have a choice of something different and then all eat together in the courtyard area. I guess my only complaint would be that if you are going to charge me a cleaning fee, have that include the laundry as you are only allowed 3 loads of laundry at checkout and the rest they will charge you $10 per load. This is something that they do not tell you on the rental agreement. The beds were all very nice and I will definitely be returning with my own family next summer! Oh yes, book early because it goes fast during the summer months!

Owner's Response: Yes, we have the provision for an extra charge if too much laundry is left.....but we have NEVER charged anyone! This is to protect us from the horror stories of some owners.....like the group that used not only the linen provided, but the linen in the locked box for the next renters! The cleaning staff does a great job on turn-around since they only have 5 hours to get everything done including washing and drying all the linen. We leave the clean linen for the next renter in the unit so the cleaning staff can get in and out in a timely fashion and you, the renter, can get in at the earliest possible time.....

Nice, comfortable place to stay

We just got back from a week in mid-May here, it was perfect for our family of 4. Very comfortable & clean, plus great views! The beach is not as close as the pictures make it seem, but still just an elevator ride and a short walk away- not a problem for my young girls to walk. Nice & good-sized appliances in the kitchen. Clean tubs and showers. My kids (6 and 2)were comfortable and had plenty of space to play. We loved that the master bedroom was on its own level with a giant closet, separate bathroom and huge balcony overlooking the harbor and sea. The condo grounds are beautiful- very tropical feeling with lots of paved walkways and beautiful flowers, plus waterfalls, streams, and a giant Coy pond.

Possibly the only downside was that the condo itself could really use some updating. All the sinks and faucets are pretty old, the kitchen counter is still tiled in the original 70's style. The carpet is pretty stained and a lot of the decor is pretty out of date, and very random. We didn't mind- but for the more selective traveler, these things might be kind of a turn-off.

Also, on the last day we read on the checkout policy that the cleaners only wash the sheets, not the bedspreads or the matress pads- and when we took the sheets off (as the checkout policy advises,) the matress pads were pretty gross. We would probably stay here again, but will definitely bring our own bedding or just wash everything ourselves the first day.

One thing to keep in mind- It was around 35-40 minutes to get to Sea World and downtown San Diego. However we took the coast highway whenever possible and it was a beautiful drive. Interstate 5 will get you there a little quicker but isn't quite as scenic.

Overall, a great place for a family on a budget. Great views, close to the beach and harbor, comfortable and (mostly) clean.

Owner's Response: We are pleased this renter found our condo mostly to her liking...4 out of 5 is pretty good! We feel that the biggest problem she encountered was with the linens. We are glad that this was brought to our attention and we encourage all of our renters to let us know when something is not up to standard. We hire a very reputable cleaning crew after each renter and pay another person to check the unit after each renter and cleaning. We have informed the cleaners and the "checker" of these concerns and they WILL BE RECTIFIED. It is difficult to maintain carpets in a unit that has different renters every few days, especially with the beach and wet feet, but we clean our carpets several times a year and will have our people be more observant. As far as the decor, each year we do something to improve the unit. This year it was a new king bed and boogie boards and patio umbrella. Last year it was a new sofa and chair. In previous years we have replaced guest beds, carpet (twice) dining set, shower doors, added hand held showers, etc. and, of course, we replace appliances whenever needed. Because we try to keep out rates lower than most others and, therefore, more family friendly, we are unable to make "big ticket" decorator changes such as complete kitchen or bath remodels. This is why we make more of an effort to provide exceptional amenities...anything you could POSSIBLY want in the kitchen...beach toys...games...tourist info...Since we us this unit ourselves...and it is the only one we own...we try to keep it like our own home. Our repeat renters apparently think we do!
