Beautiful, classic Cape Cod Beach Home with upscale amenities. Charming, Comfortable and Spacious. Sweeping, panoramic views overlooking a private, sugarsand Conservation Beach (just footsteps away). From the luxurious, oversized cushioned porch furniture to the beach stone gas-log fireplace, this authentic turn-of-the-century beach home offers a seaside retreat unlike any other. The property is filled with the charm and character of a Cape Cod Beach Home yet it provides a contemporary open floor plan that accomodates family get-togethers and modern, casual entertaining. It is both spacious yet cozy -- offering alcoves for reading, quiet moments and lazy summertime naps! You'll relax in comfort and style with the updated Potterybarn decor. The location is pristine and the beach one of the hidden gems of the Massachusetts seashore! This property is part of a family-owned compound of three oceanfront & oceanview properties that are meticulously maintained.
A crushed stone, private driveway -- with accent lighting -- provides a quaint entrance to an old-fashioned backyard filled with trumpet vine and a vintage, flower-filled landscape and meticulously maintained New England turf lawn.
Our family began vacationing on Manomet Point in the 1940s when our grandparents first rented and then purchased The Fellows House in the mid-1940s. My parents purchased the property next door, The Old Snow House, and in my 20s I purchased The Bradford House. We have been renting this property for over 25 years -- and renovating the property each year to continue to improve the guest experience. It has been a labor of love and a joy to share with other families.
Christopher Bean purchased this house in 1988
The Bradford House is a charming property -- filled with the calm of quiet summertime: gentle breezes, the faint sound of seagulls, the smell of the ocean air and the banter of birds singing summertime songs. The house radiates a special feel -- a positive energy -- as its walls have only known the sounds of children's laughter, quiet moments of adults reading on the porch and family moments of storytelling around the nighttime fireplace. It rests during the winter and awakens again in the Spring, refreshed and eager to welcome a new season of guests!
7 of us got together at this property for a weekend. The property was very clean and well maintained. The view from the house of the beach was simply breath taking. You're literally a few steps away from a beautiful beach. The closest grocery store and CVS is is about a mile away, so it was easy to get any supplies if we ran out.
Additionally, Christoper was very professional and friendly, and responded promptly to any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this place for anyone who's looking to have a relaxing time near the beach.
We have spent several summers at the Bradford House in Manomet. One of the "Grande Dames" of the beach, it is a fabulous place to spend a week. The kitchen is large and well appointed with all the modern appliances that would suit any taste. For the constantly connected there is WiFi available as well as cable. The house opens to a large porch with comfortable rockers and a stunning view that overlooks the beach and the ocean. Many a ship can be seen on the horizon crossing to the Cape Cod Canal. We have spent many an evening with a glass of wine watching the beautiful sunsets over the ocean. The beach is right across the street and is easily accessible down the boat ramp. The house has 5 bedrooms that are lovely and well appointed; one can hear the waves as you fall asleep in the comfortable beds. There is one bedroom on the ground floor with an attached bath that is very useful for the group that has either an older person who isn't comfortable going up stairs or has a younger family with young children that are up in the night. They can have the downstairs to themselves without waking the upstairs sleepers. The bathrooms are updated and tastefully decorated. An outdoor shower is by the back door and is great for getting all that beach sand off. Also a wonderful convenience is the washer and dryer that is available. The Lobster Pound is up the street and has the freshest seafood around which is a culinary delight when grilled! They will also cook your lobsters and steamers for you so you can enjoy that shore dinner without the mess! The town of Plymouth has lots to offer for those days when you need a break from the beach. A short drive up the street brings you to Dunkin Donuts, Stop and Shop and a liquor store for all those necessities or forgotten items. We love our week at the Bradford House and can't wait for our summer stay!
We rented this house for a family reunion. It was a perfect location! The online pictures were accurate and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need. The beds were comfortable and the new shower was delightful. The front porch was a favorite way to end the day with comfortable furniture and a beautiful view of the bay. The outdoor shower was perfect for when we came home from the beach. We highly recommend the Lobster Pound, just a short walk up the street. Take out lobster rolls were quick, easy and delicious. Daily walks on the beach were quiet and beautiful. The owner, Christopher, answered all our questions both prior to our rental and gave local recommendations when we arrived.
Our family has stayed at the beach house for a number of years and we have just booked it again. We always have a good time and the house is nice and clean. For the price, it is one of the best values in the Plymouth / Cape area. Great views of the ocean and a nice beach with plenty of space in the house and a nice yard make this a great place for our family.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property in the Manomet section of Plymouth. The property is extremely well-maintained, very clean and situated directly across from an extremely scenic, pristine beach. The owner was very accomodating and responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. The home is as pictured on the website - with lovely hardwood floors, and comfortable furnishings. The beach the property looks out onto is great!! We enjoyed long sunny days searching for 'treasures' at the beach - starfish, crabs and shells were abundant. The tidal pools were ideal for hours of wading and playing for our children. After a day of fun in the sun, we enjoyed returning to the Bradford House to rest and relax. Sitting on the porch rockers watching the sunset and the moonrise was our favorite time of day. A quick walk up the road led to the local fish market where we could pick up our 'catch of the day'. As the kitchen has been re-done, we found cooking a pleasure, not a chore, at this beach getaway. The new stainless steel appliances were a nice surprise - though we preferred to have cookouts on the outdoor grill. The yard was great for the kids to play in - and the garage was a convenient place to store our beach gear. I highly recommend a stay at the Bradford House - your family will have a wonderful time.
This beach home is awesome - specious, clean and charming. We loved the views from the porch and the comfy oversized Kennedy rocking chairs were spectacular. The gas grill on the porch made summer bbq time a treat! The backyard was great for the kids -- private, quiet and the lawn was like a golf course! The interior was so comfortable and clean. We loved the open floor plan -- the updated kitchen was a cooks dream! All new appliances, new cookware, sparkling dishes made cooking a real treat! The kitchen island with stools was great for morning coffee and afternoon wine -- complete with views of the beach, ocean and seagulls! The decor is so charming -- potterybarn seashore style. Very comfortable. The beds were a real plus. The comforter sets, pillows and blankets seemed fresh out of the package. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived -- and the owner offer us mid-week cleaning service if we wanted. The BEACH IS THE BEST anywhere on the Cape!!! Quiet, private and the sand is pure white -- no cobble or rocks. The sandbar stretched into the bay which was great for the kids. Wading pools with crabs, star fish were fun. Access was EASY and very convenient for all of us, including the little ones. WE CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN NEXT SUMMER!!! We think it's the best value -- a real hidden gem -- and we vacation in Plymouth and Cape every year!!!
