About Tom and Karen Albert

We are Tom and Karen Albert. Our daughter,Megan, works for Communities In Schools. Karen and I live in a small town not to far from Maggie Valley, called Glenville. I am a Chimney Sweep. Karen is a designer and helps Tom with the office end of Cashiers Chimney Professionals.

Tom and Karen Albert purchased this house in 2003

Why Tom and Karen Albert chose Maggie Valley

Why This Property? We fell in love with it! The house and the location. Of course we put a lot of work into the place, new kitchen, added the back portch, added the 1/2 bath in the loft, put in the 'laundry shack', and added air conditioning.

What makes this house unique

Unique Bebefits? I guess the 2 creeks on the property and the location stand out the most. Not to mention the awesome porch by the creek for relaxation.

Relaxing and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We arrived to the house easily from the directions.

It was easy to enter, and the house was comfortable, clean, and very well appointed; plenty of towels, linens, kitchen, bath, trash bags, grills, great washer and dryer.

The spa wasn't working. One call and the owner had someone there as soon as possible to get it going. Owner is very easy to work with and prompt.

The house is located on the rushing waters of Jonathan's creek. Trout were jumping and I caught 4 of them. Stocking happens exactly in front of the house! Wow! I was sitting on the porch when they came and dumped two washtubs of large trout into the creek!!.

My favorite part of the house is the wonderful screened in porch that runs the length of the house facing the backyard and creek. It is wide and so comfortable. We sat outside in the evenings without fighting gnats and mosquitoes, listening to the creek blocking out all of the sounds of civilization. It was wonderful! We fell asleep the first night sitting on that blissful porch.

We didn't use the fire pit...only because it rained. But it is lovely too!

All in all, Nature's Bounty has been my best VRBO experience to date. Hope to return here some day. Thanks!!

Love Nature's Bounty

  • 5 of 5

Second stay at Nature's Bounty and enjoyed it more than the first in 2015. Nice upgrades to the kitchen and second bedroom. Firepit area upgraded too. Walkable to everything. Fish in the creek. Awesome porch for evening card games and hanging out. Only downside this trip was the heating element had burnt out on the hot tub and it wasnt repaired until the day before we left. I cant fault the owner for this and the repair guy was very tolerant of my Boxer Boone licking his face as he worked. If I lived closer I would vacation here every year (900 miles away) Highly recommend Nature's Bounty.

Absolutely beautiful home next to a creek!

  • 5 of 5

This home has everything you need. We enjoyed sitting in the screened porch in the morning with a cup of coffee, listening to the creek. The kitchen had everything needed to make meals. Absolutely beautiful grounds surrounding the house. So wish we didn’t have to go home because we would still be there!!

Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to visiting soon.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was awesome. Everything we needed was there. Location was very accessible and close to activities in Maggie. We loved the creek right at the property and enjoyed the firepit.

I would love to return there again with my family and would recommend this cabin to others.
