Serene experience with nature

This is a true experience of nature to return a place and time with a time much simpler.. The sound of the river and the cabin itself just brought us to a level of peace we had forgotten.. thank u for sharing such a wonderful place .

Location, Location, Location

Like they say in real estate, it's all about location. This rental is located on a dead-end, very short road...just a minute to the main drag where all the action is. There is more than enough room for a large family yet still cozy enough for a romantic stay for two. As far as restaurants go, I give high praise to J. Arthur's where the service, atmosphere and food will make you smile and leave you satisfied. If you like seafood try Maggie's Galley in Waynesville. If you can't catch a trout in the creek to save your soul, then visit a trout pond and you won't leave troutless. Early in the week the area seems more clam and relaxed compared to end of the week/weekend activities.

Clean and serene

  • 5 of 5

I think I could have been happy staying on the back porch the entire week!!! The house is superbly clean and had enough room to fit my in-laws and my kids easily. Kitchen had plenty of room and we cooked many meals in just the 4 short days we had there. Drinking coffee in the morning with the stream in the back yard and the view of the mountain was perfect. It was the perfect blend of tucked away and within walking distance of shops. We will be back!!

Great place to stay in Maggie Valley!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our mountain visit. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The kids played in the creek behind the house daily. Great location to down town Maggie Valley.

Absolutely beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

Where do I start??? We arrived a few hours earlier than anticipated, and thank goodness I was able to get ahold of Tom. He graciously allowed us to go ahead and start our vacation early! (We had been driving for nine hours and it was so-o-o HOT outside!) The creek---ahhhh! It is more than words can describe. You can hear the rushing water from every single room in the house. The little falls add to the serenity of the rushing water, and I was truly impressed! We even slept with the window open one night just to hear the creek! My husband caught four good sized trout in that creek, too and they were delicious! The home itself was immaculate, very, very homey and inviting. Plenty of towels, paper products and bed clothes. And the sheets were the softest that I have ever seen, and smelled so good! The porch was my absolute favorite. Rockers, a daybed, completely screened in, and of course, the hot tub. The yard is also nice & flat, and gave our two little furbabies a wonderful place to play & roam. We have been traveling to Tennessee for over thirty years and had never visited Maggie Valley. From now on, though, when we head south, THIS place is where we will be staying! A short drive to Cherokee and Gatlinburg, but a world away from the hustle and bustle of big tourist towns. We absolutely LOVED it! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Location

From the Owner

Why This Property? We fell in love with it! The house and the location. Of course we put a lot of work into the place, new kitchen, added the back portch, added the 1/2 bath in the loft, put in the 'laundry shack', and added air conditioning.

Unique Bebefits? I guess the 2 creeks on the property and the location stand out the most. Not to mention the awesome porch by the creek for relaxation.
