Swim, Fish or Go Boating from Your Back Yard and Dock

Bedrooms 3
Space 148 m²
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 - 6 nights

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 6 Sleeps

A traditional old Florida home in a very unique location as it sits at the end of a deep-water canal. Relax in the large solar heated and screened-in pool area and enjoy your uninterrupted view looking up the waterway. Exotic birds and fish jumping in the water are the primary sounds, and the 50 foot dock with seating is perfect for fishing, morning coffee or evening cocktail. For an additional fee we offer the 10,000 lb. boat lift for up to a 20 foot boat. All this plus the beautiful view you may never want to leave the back yard. Situated in an exclusive, quiet area of Million Dollar homes you are still a short distance to many amenities. The home is newly renovated but still has the original beautiful Terrazzo floors. Features a new Kitchen, comfortable living room that when the two double sliding doors are open becomes part of the pool area! This is enhanced by the fantastic view up the canal and beautiful poolside sunrises. Central air is available but generally not necessary in the winter months because of the almost continuous warm breeze off the water. One bedroom can be used as an office if you want to work with the high-speed wireless internet connection. Large Screen TV with DVD/VCR and full cable service for your use are included.

You can take a short stroll to the Beach Complex offering tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, bocce ball, playground for kids, sandy harbor beach and new fishing pier.

Close by are miniature golf, boat and Jet Ski rentals, numerous golf course and lots of shopping.

If large Gulf of Mexico beaches are what you want there are two within a half hour drive at Boca Grange and Englewood. The property is situated between Fort Myers and Sarasota both less than an hour’s drive. Disney World is also only an hour and a half drive so you have the best of everything available.

A short drive will get you to more restaurants than I have space for here. Clubs, movies, fitness centers, shops, golf everything you'd expect is very accessible. It’s about an hour and half to two hour drive to the famous Florida Theme parks like Disney World.

A short pleasant walk past beautiful million dollar homes will take you to the Beach Complex with all its amenities! You could drive to the uncrowded Gulf of Mexico beaches in Boca Grand or Englewood in 45 minutes.

There are several well maintained public golf course with in a few miles of this property as well.

One of our renter's quote 'Mark, we truly enjoyed your house and hospitality. This was the BEST vacation we had. In fact, my screen saver on my computer at work is a picture of the canal taken from just outside the screened pool. We have very good memories of

that trip, and that picture helps me relive it. Especially after a hard day at work.

Thank you, again, Mark. It was a pleasure renting from you. When we go to Florida again, and it's in the Port Charlotte area, we will definitely call you' Mike from Wisconsin

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here 10/14 and again 6/15. Beautiful pool and views of the canal from the living room and the massive covered lanai. Very relaxing watching the fish jump as well as an occasional dolphin. The owner Mark is great. My husband and I loved the area much that we decided to move to FL from NY and have rented Mark's long term rental across from this one. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat within a short drive to beach and restaurants this is the one. You won't be disappointed

Relaxing Stay

  • 5 of 5

We were here for 2 weeks in February and really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and in great shape when we arrived. The pictures shown here are accurate. There were no surprises. We really enjoyed the view; it's amazing. We spent a good deal of time each morning on the veranda enjoying the morning sun. It was peaceful and felt secluded. I also enjoyed meeting Mark. He was very helpful with information about places to see and things to do. We loved the oranges from his tree too. That's certainly something we don't get right off the tree in Oklahoma. The beach was just a short walk down the street too. Pretty cool.

Peaceful and Beutiful

  • 5 of 5

My family and some friends recently stayed for a week in April. We truly enjoyed ourselves! The kids kept themselves busy swimming in the pool or walking to the little beach down the street. We had a boat and spent a lot of time exploring the harbor and the dock side restaurants and shopping. We did some fishing of course, both off the dock and off the boat.

The house is really cute, clean and well appointed. So just staying in and barbequing by the pool looking out over the water was very nice too. I highly recommend a vacation at this house, next time I will be staying longer.

Port Charlotte rental

  • 5 of 5

The house was exactly as advertised. The photos were "right on" with no exaggeration[sp]. A beutiful view of the pool and waterway/dock. So very peaceful, i have a difficult time reading books at home, but read 2 while i was there. The home was immaculate and well appointed and NO STAIRS! All shopping needs are very close [although my family did most of the shopping while i read]. The owner was very helpful and attentive to any questions/inquiries i had prior to and during my stay. This home provides all the peace and privacy anyone would need. Hope to visit again next year

Good time during slow season in Port Charlott

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I recently spent a week at this property during late August. Many people avoid the area during this time reasoning it will to hot or to humid. Far from it, we found the weather very agreeable, and of course the included pool was always just a step away. A couple nice things about renting during the "slow season"

1) In general, all prices are down a bit, including rentals

2) No crowds - lots of privacy!

3) Service availability - no crowds means better service

As far as the property, it is located on the end of a canal which gives you a better view, bigger lot and more privacy than many rentals. The owner (Mark) is a great low key person to work with, he helped us by getting a boat dock ready in time, recommending local services and just in general being available if we had any questions.

Mark, thank you for the great service, it was a fantastic week and wonderful meeting you.

BTW, If you rent a boat, you have to go the Nav-a-Gator! Great upriver trip by boat!

Highly recommended
