'Rock Ledge' is a beautiful three bedroom, two bath chalet style
home. It's deck over looks quiet Church Pond in the 'Saranac Inn'
area of the Adirondack Mountains. (The Saranac Inn area consists of
Upper Saranac Lake, and several smaller satellite lakes
called 'Ponds'.) The back of the property borders the 8th tee of the
championship 18 hole Saranac Inn Golf Course. Take in a morning tee
off and stop 'home' for lunch!
Fine handcrafted furniture and antiques make up the comfortable
Adirondack style interior. Sleeps up to eight comfortably, with
additional sleeping on pull out queen size sofa. The interior is a
wonderful blend of antiques, handcrafted 'rustic' style furniture,
and artwork by the owner. Living room and all bedrooms have ceiling
fans. Living and dining areas open to deck overlooking Church Pond,
a sand bottom lake perfect for swimming, sailing, canoeing, fishing,
and wildlife watching. (Loons frequent the pond.) Great for kids'
adventures, as it is a non- motorized lake. From the dock, you can
see all points of the lake.
The modern kitchen has all you will ever need, including a
dishwasher. The downstairs has one bath- room and a bedroom with a
queen size bed.
Upstairs boasts a bedroom with a queen size brass bed, sitting area
and desk, a second bathroom, and a 'bunk' room for the kids with 4
twin sized beds. Bunk room is usually inhabited by dozens of stuffed
bears, but they like to share the space!
Basement stores all summer and winter 'toys' and washer/dryer.
Lakeside enjoy an additional deck, dock and swimming float and fire
This home is fully winterized, and a perfect spot for winter
recreation as well. Cross country ski or snowmobile right out the
door, or downhill a short drive away. Miles of all season trails on
state land connect to road. The free State boat launch on 11 mile
long Upper Saranac Lake is one mile away. Church Pond is one of the
few non-State land ponds among dozens of lakes and ponds in the
area. State recreation land and lakes begin just a short walk from
Rock Ledge offers privacy, and unspoiled views, but is close to all
manner of activities, both summer and winter. Church Pond is minutes
away from Lake Placid, Saranac Lake Village, and Tupper Lake.
My Wife and I had a wonderful, relaxing week away. I caught bass every morning and evening right from the dock, although it was fun to take the boats out as well. We split our time enjoying the lake with nature walks at Paul smith's, hiking St. Regis Mountain, and shopping in Lake Placid. There are a few good Restaurants within a short drive, when you decide not to cook out on the deck. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings, and the stars were amazing. I would recommend Rock Ledge to anyone that enjoys peace, serenity, and enjoys the outdoors. We visit the area every year, and hope to make Rock Ledge a tradition for us.

The Lynches From Ma
My family had a great time in this beautiful place. It was a long drive from NYC, but well worth it. House is very cute. It's smallish, but has everything you need for a great vacation. We had hours of fun with the boats on the pond, bonfires every night, and gorgeous hikes within 15-20 min of the cabin during the day. My little kids were delighted by all the stuffed animals!
This rental is exactly as described, everything is provided for. The location is very quiet and private, yet, highly accessible. The home is spacious and comfortable. The owner is extremely responsive and a delight to work with: she was very amenable to accommodating our schedule.
We've had the privilege of renting Rock Ledge for the past several summers. It's been a very clean, comfortable, convenient, quiet and inviting location. Fully equipped. Right on the pond. Close to the golf course. Only 15 miles to Donnelly's Ice Cream - a must if you are in the area. Sue, the owner, is very congenial and accommodating. Would recommend it to anyone interested in spending quality time in a beautiful, peaceful setting.
This home was perfect. Very clean and well maintained. Everything you read about it, is what you get. I would recomend this property to a friend, or anyone who loves the out doors. We even took a ferry boat ride over to Vermont.
