About Mark Morgan

Mark and I were High School sweethearts and have been married for 39 years. We have 2 married children and 4 wonderful grandkids. We are native Floridians and avid Gator fans. We love to travel especially to the Smokies!

Mark Morgan purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Mark Morgan chose North Carolina Mountains

Since the Smokies is one of our favorite places to visit, when the opportunity came to purchase a cabin in Franklin we jumped on it! The Franklin area is a charming community with much to do in the area.We have enjoyed owning this cabin and we love sharing it with others to experience the tranquility we have found there.

What makes this cabin unique

Our cabin is in a great location to many activities. We are in the heart of the gem mining, hiking trail and waterfalls. Also very close to white water rafting and the Great Smokey Mountain train ride. You can stay busy daily with all the things to do. However, if you don't want to be busy it is so relaxing to just sit on the wrap around porch taking in the fresh mountain air. We take pride in making our cabin clean, comfortable and set up for your enjoyment. It is a perfect place for a getaway in the Smokies.

Surely another day in Paradise .uh. bearadise :-)

We liked this place when we searched on Homeaway and we loved it when we reached there. It was snowing mildly when we arrived and our 7 year old daughter just loved this place which we took during her spring break. The place was clean and ready with all we needed for a vacation. The location of the cabin was also fantastic. We love hanging out in nature and this was truly a paradise for us.

With such beautiful surroundings and easy access to Smoky mountain, this cabin is ideal for a family getaway. We couldn't have asked for a better spring break ... great place, great weather and great time.

Overall the stay was excellent, just sad that it was a very short one for us. Leslie was quick to respond and help us with the booking. Thanks for making this a memorable stay.

This was our first stay at a Cabin and will always be the best. We'll surely have this on top of our list for the next visit and top of our recommendation list!

Beautiful mountain setting

  • 4 of 5

This cabin has a well stocked kitchen. We brought some things from home because of experiences at other cabins, but the kitchen had about everything we could have wanted. Our family enjoyed a nice quiet get away with a little bit of hiking. We even enjoyed a couple of fires in the wood stove on the cool evenings. It was a good vacation!

Excellent Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have never been in the Franklin area as we always venture to Brevard to see Pisgah, Dupont and Gorges. This was a nice treat to be relatively close to the Great Smokies in Cherokee. Plenty of places to hike and fish. We even ventured further north to Cataloochee Valley to see the Elk. WELL WORTH THE 2 HOUR DRIVE, however if you are prone to car sickness the roads would not be good for you in Cataloochee.

The cabin is excellent. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, well stocked. Porches were amazing. The shower had great water pressure and tons of hot water, well needed after a full day in the mountains. I would recommend this cabin to families or couples. The living room was very accommodating, TV's worked great, plenty of channels. The drive is not bad, we made it up the driveway in a Honda Accord, just have to be careful to make sure no ruts or mounds are in the way. (There were not when we were there) During our time in Franklin, Cherokee and Cataloochee Valley we saw 11 Elk (4 males, 7 females), 6 wild turkeys a deer, a woodchuck, and a possum. My husband swears he saw the hind end of the bear, but I didn't see it so it doesn't count.

Outstanding Living,

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter, granddaughter and I just spent 5 wonderful days at Another Day in Bearadise. It was such a wonderful cabin loaded with comfortable leather furniture, beds tons of hot water with great water pressure in the soothing shower. The views from the porch are outstanding. Had coffer and lunch on the wrap around porch enjoying the peace and quiet of the wilderness several days. Loved waking up in this mountain cabin! I would definitely rent this cabin again. Roomy and comfortable. Would love to see a hot tub added to the beautiful porch.

So relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time to Bearadise Cabin and we loved it! It was clean and had everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We went in March and it was cold and we never expected to see snow. What a treat that was for us since we are from Florida! It was so cozy sitting by the wood burning stove and drink our coffee. We were able to go to Cades Cove, Gatlinburg, , Pigeon Forge and do some antique shopping in Franklin. It was a very nice week for both of us.
