Nice location and condo, great owner - just bad timing...

The owner is VERY nice and responsive; he was very proactive about informing us of the construction delay (all work on building was to be completed BEFORE our stay - out of the owner's control) on the building that occurred and negatively affected our stay (only one elevator in service and frequently locked out, pool and hot tub closed, work crew noise ongoing, etc.). The work was coming along and should be finished before the next rental.

The location was very nice; on the beach with a full beach view. The patio balcony was our very favorite feature which is large, furnished with 3 separate areas of nice furniture from which we enjoyed the sea breeze, sunrises and the sound of the surf. The owner had most of the essentials stocked (trash bags, coffee, soap, dishes, silverware, plates, cookware) which was nice. The unit has nice appliances and was very clean with a comfortable bed and good cable.

I would recommend this owner and unit - just confirm all construction is complete! The owner was also very prompt in refunding our security deposit and checking on us to see how our stay went. He offered a discount on our next stay due to the construction interference.

The unit was clean and just what I expected. We loved the location.

We enjoyed the condo very much. It is a little dated but we came to SPI for the beach! It had a new flat screen TV, Internet access, and a comfortable bed. This is a great deal for a gulf front unit & I would rent it again without question. The owner was very easy to deal with & was clear on directions for access etc. GREAT VALUE.

Great condo. Great location.

The condo was clean and we were very pleased overall with our stay. The location can't be beat and the kids loved eating meals on the balcony watching the ocean. My only complaint (and I know it isn't anything the owner can fix) is the parking situation in the parking garage. The first few nights we were able to get a space and didn't have any problems. We drive a large SUV and I got up at 1 am with a note in the door saying our car was going to be towed. It claimed that we were parked in a reserved space and that our car was over sized. I went down and there wasn't anything posted about the space being reserved and our car was parked in the lines with plenty of space on each side of the vehicle. It was the morning we were leaving or I would have went to the office and had them explain the note because what it was claiming was not apparent. I moved the car to an outside parking space. Overall I would stay here again. I would just park outside instead of in the garage.

The property provided an excellent view of the ocean and was very comfortable.

The property was located closed to the restaurants and shopping. The walk to the ocean was short and beach chairs and umbralla rental was right there on the property beach. Parking for large vehicles in the underground garage was very difficult. The unit was as described and we had a wonderful quiet get away.

Great location on the beach!

The Inverness condo was literally on the sand in S. Padre. The building is extremely old however, and needs a facelift badly (paint etc.) but the unit was comfortable and had an amazing balcony and view. Other rants were that only 1 elevator was working the whole time, so the wait for it from the 8th floor was very long, and the bed was not very comfortable either.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay though. The price wasn't bad for S. Padre but just wanted to point out a few things that would've made it even better.

Owner's Response: The Inverness will be closed from 9/18/16 - 5/25/17 for renovations and repairs. New decks, paint, repair elevators, replace railings and tile the exterior floors including balconies. This is long overdue and we are looking forward to it. When our side of the building is completed we are going to replace the kitchen cabinets, counter top and redo the bathroom and bedroom. Hope to hear from you again next summer. Jim

Would definitely go back

Location of this property is perfect,ocean front view very close to restaurants,bars etc.the condo itself is good and it had everything we needed.I contacted the owner several times to ask questions and he responded promptly and was very nice.We wanted to stay another day but unfortunately condo was already booked.Overall I would say our stay was great and we had a great time.We definitely would go back.
