Sunset Lodge is on the beach in the most desirable section of
Sylvan Beach. We have recently remodeled this side into a Nantucket
styled cottage throughout. Cathedral ceilings throughout, themed ceiling fans
in each room, hardwood floors, Eat-in kitchen, deck, 2 bedrooms
with Spanish arch in master bedroom, etc. New furniture throughout.
New front loading washer and dryer.
Sunset Lodge is situated in Sylvan Beach in the most sought after part of the beach.
Oneida Lake is an all activity lake. It is shallow,
60 feet at its deepest, which makes it very warm most of the summer.
It is excellent for swimming because of its sandy bottom and shallow
incline with no drop-offs. It is well known for boating as well as
Walleye and Pike fishing.
Sylvan Beach is situated on 22 mile long Oneida lake which lies in
an east-west direction giving Sunset Lodge spectacular sunsets directly across the
The street behind Sunset Lodge is a kid friendly, one way street.
The Beaches'attractions include the amusement park, fine and casual
restaurants, great shops and the village park (with regularly
scheduled entertainment throughout the summer) as well as all
village activities, the canal and the pier.
The Beach is also just 20 minutes from the Turning Stone Casino,
The largest Casino/Entertainment compex in NY, with 2 PGA golf
courses, 5 exceptional restaurants, and Nationally known entertainment bookings throughout the year.
For Summer 2015, Sunset Lodge Summer rates are 1250-1450/week.
This is our Summer home on the Beach which we only use approximately 6 weeks out of the summer. It is therefore furnished to our standard as opposed to garage sale furniture, hence the appearance in the photos. Consequently, we rent out the other weeks to families who are looking for a little nicer place directly on the beach.
This house is in the best part of the beach, in a group of about 7 or 8 properties directly in the village but far enough away from the restaurants to feel private, while at the same time being only a couple minutes walking distance from all of the restaurants and attractions.
Best Sunsets in New York State, directly across the lake, bar none, shallow, warm, sandy bottom lake with all natural deep beach, amusement park is 5 minute stroll away. Another advantage for many folks is that we are in the heart of the beach, which some people prefer, not farther up the shoreline where there is very little beach.
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Perfect getaway rental. Owner was very kind and accommodating yet unobtrusive. I have rented several camps/cabins at Sylvan and this one tops the chart. Interior is clean, and walking distance to bars, the midway, and basically anything else Sylva Beach has to offer. Would not hesitate to refer to family or friends. Looking forward to another visit next year or sooner!
This rental home provided the perfect location and accommodations for my family's vacation. The interior is tastefully decorated with a specious yet cozy feel. The back deck is a perfect compliment to the interior which is where we spent most of our time. The ability to walk to every restaurant and the Midway is unbeatable! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable beachfront retreat. Memories made forever
My family and I had a wonderful visit at the Sunset Lodge. We were within walking distance of the restaurants, shops, and the Midway. We were on the beach and it was a great location. The place was really clean and cute and we appreciated that. We're definitely going back next year!
We had a great time at this camp over the week of the 4th of July! What we enjoyed most about our stay was in the absolute perfect location; everything was within walking distance. Close to restaurants, bars, and the gas station right around the corner was so convenient that we didn't even go to a regular grocery store because it had all of the groceries we needed for the week! How wonderful to stay right on the beach; we really enjoyed it. It was nice to sit on the beach and the picnic bench on the beach. There were fireworks on the 5th of July, which was our son's 21st birthday, so it was a wonderful to catch those right on the beach where we stayed. To eat, we went to Captain John's right around the corner for seafood dinner & drinks, and we also went to Eddie's for the hot ham sandwich, and Harpoon Eddie's for dinner (note - they charge for each soda, no free refills!), Cinderella's for lunch and ice cream, and we did eat sub sandwiches, pizza, and wings from the convenience store around the corner (Nice and Easy). The owner, Craig, was very friendly and helpful and greeted us onsite to hand over the keys and give us a tour. Only thing I would mention is that you need to bring your own sheets, blankets, pillows, bath towels, hand towels, beach towels, etc. That was the only thing that was a little inconvenient as we had to pack so much extra because of that. I would definitely recommend this camp to a friend for sure. We had a great week celebrating our son's 21st birthday.
A lot of character. It was cute, clean and smartly put together. We had a great time here, close to everything, and it suited us perfectly with our small family (3 kids). Just right.
