Nice Contemporary/Modern furnished 2 bedroom one full bath. Living room with 50' LCD wall mounted with full Fios TV, TV apps, LCD TV in one bedroom, Blue ray DVD player and small I Pod stereo. Sofa bed with queen size mattress and large additional sofa. Each bedroom with a plush and comfortable Simmons beauty rest and Serta (back support) pillow top mattress. Kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge, microwave, dishes, pots pans, etc. Opens to bar eating area with 4-5 chairs. TV trays. fun beach house

Our family had a great time at Mike's place. It was as advertised and the accommodations were very comfortable. Check in was simple and Mike is available for possible needs. We were able to walk to the beach and also ride provided bikes along the beach path. We used the provided beach equipment (board, toys, beach umbrella) which was handy. We hung out in the patio area and were even able to meet Mike's family pets that were very sweet. Especially playful Mr. Blue who reminded us of our precious cat we lost a few months back. That was wonderful, thanks for sharing him with us. We used the parking available in back which was a plus as we were there during spring break. We were within walking distance of a park, library, beach, child's playground on beach (just opened the weekend we were there), pizza place, convenience store, cafe, Chronic tacos (last 4 just steps away). There are also popular shops just a few blocks away. Mike's place has all the conveniences you need including use of washer/dryer. We would definitely stay here again if we had the chance. My teens, adult children with toddler and I had a great time. Thank you Mike for a great stay!

Pretty good but needs a few things improved.

All in all we liked the place. Location is absolutely great - just a few blocks from the beach and downtown Huntington beach. Nice house which was clean and neat when we got there. Yard is cute and deck/eating area very nice. Laundry arrangements were great.

Several things that really were somewhat irritating:

1. The wi-fi was totally inadequate. Much of the time (especially in bedrooms and far end of the living room) could get nothing and even at the best barely adequate. Forget about streaming anything. Definitely need improvement.

2. How much would it cost to got to Target and get a decent set of dishes and flatware? What was there was a total mishmash, many of the pieces chipped. There was not one single wine glass in the place. When people vacation and visit family they often like to enjoy some wine and toast each other - loses a bit when the wine is in coffee cups of water glasses.

3. The left side of the sink would barely drain at all.

Owner's Response: Hi Bob, Sorry to hear about these issues now. I'm surprised you didn't request these things right away while here. I offer a portable Wifi for guests who have devises that cannot connect well. it happens about 1/3 of the time. Also we have all new dishes and wine glasses. all of these items which you needed would have been remedied within a day had you told me up front. On my guest information check in sheet it asks you to please let Me know immediately if you need anything or think something should be provided. Overall, Thanks so much and in very glad you enjoyed the rest of the place and our Prime location.

Host Michael is hospitable and accommodating. The setting is relaxing and quiet while being within easy walking distance of beach, locally run and fun coffee shop, good restaurants, shopping, and a delightful Tuesday evening farmers market.

We had a good time

My teenage kids and I had a great week there, had a nice stroll on the beach which was very cool to have close by. The house was very nice, we had enough room and the beds were comfortable. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the patio and bbq because of the weather and also the plans we had.

Just a small negative comment, the bikes weren't that great as we didn't bother using them since they were a little too big mostly for my daughter and the kids bikes too small. And getting to them, well that was also hard to do.

I still like thank Mike, he was very nice and made sure we were ok.

I apologize as I was not aware the bikes didn't fit your kids and we have a few different kids bikes available but we require them to be checked out as they are most often lost or missing due to many kids being careless with them. I also have 2 newer adult bikes also available which were in the garage and available by request. Should you decide to return, don't hesitate to ask me for any specific items. We usually have it! Amazing location; great owner; comfortable house

We had a wonderful stay at Mike's home. The location was fantastic, allowing us to take our dog to the dog beach every day and stroll a couple of blocks every evening to watch the sunset over the ocean. The home is also convenient to downtown for shopping and dining. We did not eat out much, but can vouch for the pizza place, chronic tacos, the coffee at sit-n-stay cafe and the convenience store, all of which are literally a stone's throw from the house. Mike and his wife are extremely friendly and helpful. They recommended restaurants, grocery stores, hiking trails, etc. They live in the "back house", so asking for any type of assistance is a breeze.

The home itself was very clean and comfortable - I have zero complaints, and would definitely recommend to friends and family. We plan to make an annual pilgrimage to the house each winter. Only issue we did have was with the wifi. I think the router is likely in the back house, resulting in little to no wifi service in the "front house". We ended up just using our own data, but not a huge deal.

Wonderful rental in a convenient location!

This is a really great beach rental! The location is perfect, just three blocks to the sand and six block to Main St. We loved the neighborhood feel of the area - friendly people, fairly quiet with eateries and a convenience store just steps away. The property is well maintained and clean. The beds were comfy and there is plenty of seating both inside and out. We were in the front unit and you should be aware that there is no table, just a bar. We worked during our stay and used the TV trays with patio chairs as our office, which worked just fine!

The patio area is lovely and there is seating for six at the nice table. Mike, is a responsive and friendly owner. He lives in the back unit but is not obtrusive at all. There are laundry facilities in the garage, along with extra linens and supplies. We really enjoyed the beach cruiser bikes and rode to the bike path along the beach most days. There are also beach chairs, beach towels, boggie boards and other beach toys available. This house is very well equipped. There were plenty of pots and pans and plates.

We stayed two weeks and Mike even offered to have the house cleaned during our stay! He's a great host. We would definitely recommend this property and we hope to stay again next year.
