Overview

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, 7 Sleeps

Serenity awaits with awe inspiring views. This spectacular, well kept

property overlooks the 3100 acre Scarborough Marsh Nature Preserve

from the backyard. Located at the very end of a dead-end road this very

clean house offers water views from 3 sides. The house has been

updated allowing you to enjoy yourselves.

A very quiet, pristine setting with breathtaking sunsets and

sunrises over the marsh. Tons of wildlife: with many birds; watch

the fish jump in season, and on occasion, if you're lucky, see a seal or a Bald Eagle go by all from the livingroom view windows.

Sportsman: this is truly a fisherman’s

delight with stripers caught right from the property shore when they are running. Bring

your boat as small crafts can access the ocean and bay from this salt water tidal river using the boat launch. Also, you will enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking from this park like property.

Sunworshipers: From this romantic getaway you can hear at night the surf at Pine Point. Scarborough State Beach and 3 additional municipal beaches are close by: Hurd Beach, Ferry Beach and Higgins Beach. Hurd is located along a 7 mile white sandy beach that stretches from Old Orchard beach to Pine Point and is only 1 mile away by car or bike and is ideal for morning and mid-day sun. Ferry Beach over looks beautiful Old Orchard and Pine Point's Marina from Prout's Neck and is the best from mid-day to sunset with gentle waves for the kids. Higgins Beach and Scarborough State Beach are known for their waves.

Great house for a family vacation

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 7, ages 72 to 3 enjoyed our stay at this property. The beach house is older but well maintained, and has many great features such as a beautiful living room with picture windows overlooking Scarborough Marsh, a nice yard for kids, a fire pit and sits right next to Seavey's Landing, which gave us great access for kayaking. The bedrooms are not large but they are adequate and some have closets. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, silverware, cooking pots and pans, etc.-something often lacking in rentals. The owners have a shed with beach buckets, bikes and other extras. The only drawback is there is just one bathroom, but as we were on vacation this no a problem. The house is just 20 minutes from downtown Portland and less than 10 minutes drive to several nice Scarborough beaches. I would recommend this house to any family wanting a comfortable house to rent. Not fancy, but very well taken care of and has many pluses.

Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

Perfect vacation spot for family of all ages. Fishing from the back yard, plenty of confined space for little ones to run around safely, boating, fires at night and short trip to Pinepoint beach.

The house is comfy and well equipped . Will definetly return next year.

The Most Relaxing Rental in Pine Point Maine

  • 5 of 5

I have been coming to Maine since I was 10. We usually stay close to the beach and love Pine Point as the beach is beautiful and it is less crowded and cleaner than Old Orchard. This year we decided to stay on the river leading into Pine Point to try something different and this rental was still walking distance (1 mile) to the beach. We absolutely loved it. Being able to watch the tides going in and out each day was very relaxing. We were able to paddleboard, swim and canoe right from the beautiful large lawn. The fire pit, being right on edge of the river, made each night relaxing and fun. We went with our children ages 16 and 21 and they loved it too which was surprising. They liked chillin in the hammock, swimming, and just sitting in the sun. (We had sun every day). This is our new favorite place to stay in Maine!

A Beautiful and Restful Oasis

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Seavey’s Landing several times and each time it has been a delightful and restful time. The house can comfortably take 6 or 7 people and the property is large enough for lots of outdoor activities. The property is clean and well appointed, but the family room furniture could definitely stand to be replaced. The location is beautiful with the ever changing light and color of the river and marsh. It is also close to the Pine Point/Old Orchard beach area, restaurants, and shopping. We plan to go back and we know you’ll enjoy your time there.

Amazing sunsets!

  • 5 of 5

We spent the week kayaking, biking, playing games, enjoying the campfire, and spending time with family. This rental allowed it all to happen in a beautiful setting and a very short drive to the beach. The cottage is cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed.

Great house with fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

The house was so private, quiet and peaceful. It contains everything you would possibly need or want for a relaxing vacation in Maine. It is close to shopping, beautiful beaches, nature trails, restaurants, and Portland. Try ken's restaurant for great fried clams, which is less than a mile from the house. I was lucky to visit with my dog, and he loved his time at the house as well. The owners are easily reachable if you have any questions. Even though it rained for half of my stay I still had a great time.
