About Barbara and Dick Yunker
Our wedding was in the front yard of this property in 1980. We have offered Puget View Cottage for many years, initially as a bed and breakfast, and as a vacation rental for about eight years. We have met many wonderful people from around the world, and look forward to adding you to our list of former guests. During 2012 and '13 we traveled overseas, completing many long distance hikes we had long dreamed of doing---the Coast to Coast Trail in England, West Highland Way, The Camino across northern Spain, Walker's Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt, Kilimanjaro and a safari (and two months of volunteering in the Burundi :) Two months in the hinterlands of Nepal, a summit of Fuji in Japan, and JMT and Whitney in California---whew! In 2014 we completed our final leg of the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington. We look forward to sharing the magic of this peaceful, beautiful part of the world--with you!
Barbara and Dick Yunker purchased this Cottage in 1978
Why Barbara and Dick Yunker chose Lacey
Dick is from Oregon, Barb from Alaska. We met here, never dreaming we would stay this long, but why would we want to live anywhere else? Especially when Barb says 'this is like Alaska, but you don't need a float plane to enjoy it.'
What makes this Cottage unique
Even after so many years, we continue to be inspired daily by the up-close fly-by of an eagle, the majesty of a summer sunset, or the mystery of fog silently lifting. It's easy to be overwhelmed with gratitude in the midst of such a glorious setting---the spirit of this place.

Lovely cottage with a beautiful view
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage. It was so nice to reconnect as a family in such beautiful surroundings. We've already been talking about coming again when it is a bit warmer.
Great place, we had a great time, THANKS !!
Nice quiet cabin
Obviously the people who care for this property pay great attention to detail, and were kind enough to allow our two little rescue doggies to visit. Everything was well cared for, however, it was my error not to better read the details. What we discovered was that 400 sq. ft. was just not quite enough elbow room, and did feel close. Everything in the cabin had to adjust to that. Other than that it was a lovely spot, and we enjoyed our walk on the beach.
This place is so amazing. From the location to the cottage and the owners
We loved everything about this place
A charming little cottage
We had a wonderful stay. It’s a delightful little cottage with sweet accents and the view is breathtaking. It could use a few minor updates but overall just a really lovely stay.
Thanks Bridget! We've taken your cue on updates. During the snow storm, the cottage received a fresh coat of paint, ceiling to floor :) Look forward to hosting you again sometime.
The cottage, views, ammenities were absolutely perfect.
